I know it's off topic but that could be the twin brother of a friend of mine who is a retired cop. I had to take a double and then a triple take to make sure it wasn't him.

Horses and pavement ring a bell? Taxes and Amish ring a bell? Personal attacks like the one above ring a bell.

Dishonesty indeed.

Why are you choosing to take as aimed at you a post that (1) points out it's a general observation and (2) was made in reply to SOMEONE ELSE?

I dont believe there is anyone who is a US citizen who can ignore the laws on public roads and expect to get away with it. The Amish are no different.

Bear in mind that you're dealing with somebody who thinks that being expected to own a driving license in order to use the roads is an unconstitutional gubafia imposition, tazzy...

FR

it seems no one understands the difference between regulations and rights.

States:

While having power to neither grant nor remove an individual right, the Supreme Court has legally recognized some fundamental rights not specifically enumerated in the Constitution, including:
  • The right to interstate travel
  • The right to intrastate travel
  • The right to vote
  • The right to privacy (which includes within it a set of rights)

even the dipshits at wiki do not say one has the right to DRIVE and make the distinction between driving and traveling.
We all have the right to travel.  The Amish are traveling.
regulations are not laws they are rules.

thats what is so much fun arguing law with plebians, but then that is why they are and will forever remain plebes.

All I see here are a bunch of asswipes more than willing to stomp on and STEAL other peoples RIGHTS for their personal CONVENIENCE of driving out of control.
