Is with people and the messages they send? I've only been active on this site (I'm talking about the collarme side) for a couple of days, my profile is pretty blank, but it DOES say I'm only here actively seeking friendship.   Anyhoodles, I got a message today, here's what it said:

If lil cunt has interest? I invite you to join me on yahoo IM at: Masterof_alldouchebags

Mind you, this is the first contact for this douche.  I'm not a cunt; I think the word is very disrespectful.  If you really want someone to respond, is this REALLY a good way to go about it?   If you've done this, did it work for you?    If you've received a message like this, have you responded in a positive way?

New female members tend to be troll bait for about the first 30 days. All you can do is iggy and block them and laugh at them because of the fact that they are so pitiful.

Trust me, it gets better.

Yup. Look around on the forums a bit and you'll see a LOT of threads about this.
You will get *hundreds* of mail. Most are cut and paste messages that these people send to every new chick. They don't generally even *look* at your profile.
Block and delete.

You can hover over a message and get the gist of it (or in many cases read the whole thing) and if you don't like what you see, delete it unread...bye-bye douchey-guy.

You can also report suspected cut and pastes as spam.

Put on your raincoat, it'll happen again and again. There are a lot of people that come here thinking anything goes and social niceties aren't necessary. They think a kink site has tons of eager women just waiting to fulfill their every need. They think if they want their sexual urges taken care of then there will be someone wanting to take care of them, sight unseen. It's crazy. Use the tactics the others suggested of hovering over your messages to see if you want to read them and using the block and delete buttons. Write em back if you want telling what you think before blocking and deleting if you like.

Hello! And welcome to the crazy world of CM!

As the others have said, you've got a cute pic and you're new.

You'll get a slew of messages from people, alas. There are a lot of jackasses out there.

I'd suggest that you fill out your profile and make it clear the kind of person you are, the kind of person you'd like to meet and the kind of things (kinky and non-kinky) that you'd want to do with the right person.

Then get used to the "Delete and Block" feature.

Don't despair though, there'll be a fellah out there for you.

Tam, unfortunately, we gals all go through that for a bit. You can expect to be rudely propositioned for while, maybe a month or so, and then maybe once in a while after that. Distasteful though it is, it is unavoidable part of the initiation. Try not to take it personally, don't answer any that are like that, and "hover" over them and delete without opening. Believe it or not, the time will come when they won't affect you much, and you'll be able to laugh them off.

On behalf of all the goodhearts here, welcome to the site. There are many wonderful people here, whose positive contributions will soon far outweigh the baser ones. I hope you have a wonderful time here.

i just got one form a lady who "read" my profile and knows we can make it together. i am straight and owned and married. HOW she figured out we can make it is a mystery. My guess is some scammers have "bots" trolling for possible rubes.

Basically, this is how it works. You join and show up on new members. Jackals view you and assume you know nothing and can be pursuaded to
A. Get naked on cam
B. Hand over your phone number so they can verify you are female/male.
C. Pay a tribute to some unknown dominant.

Women get the first 2 on the list. Men tend to get the last 2.

Welcome to CM. It does get better if you just ignore the opening volley of trolls.

Sorrry bout your experience and do not think everyone is of the same nature.. Unfortunately some times different places do attract more lunies then other places.

Try not to let this type of interaction get to you. There will always be some mail in the inbox of this sort. My best advice is to ignore such mail entirely. I do not think this kind of rude approach is deserving of any type of answer from you. Delete and move on. If you respond, even to say "no thanks", the sender will take it as a sure sign of interest from you and continue harassing you. Trust me, I speak from experience.

For every piece of mail that comes in like this, trust me that you will receive mail from those who are much more sincere both in who they are and in their approach. Focus on the sincere ones and accept the rude as an unfortunate cost of being on a site like this. Wish it were not so, but it just is what it is.

This is normal. As everyone said, you are "new meat" and there are some eejits on the other side who think that just cuz a gal's on a kinky site that she is promiscuous and will fuck anything with a pole.

Laugh it off, and remember that "block and delete are your friend".

They will never truly go away. I recently had a "domme" reach out to me telling me I'm beautiful and that if I wasn't into chicks (for her) that I could have her son dom me instead. Of course she never triggered a "viewed profile" and/or read it from the home page, or she would have seen that I was already owned and no longer searching.
