Being brainwashed is not only inherent to liberals; the conservatives have been under that spell too. Both are brainwashed in the sense that they believe democracy is the solution to the world's problems.

We watched last night. The clip shows just enough, and nothing more. Is it inacurate in what is shown? No. But the meaning is totally lost, as it was intended to be.

I think some at newsbusters are brain dead for not understanding that that clip, taken out of context completely turns the accusation back on itself.

The whole show was very funny, and I can definitely take being called a brain dead liberal in the context it was meant:)
Proudly even.
I guess you would have to see the whole thing tho to know why

I don't know I think there might be a few more nuanced positions than that out there.

It's not so much the liberals, it's the leftists that cause the trouble.
Thankfully they're only a very small minority in the country.
Many or Most liberals are pretty reasonable people who want our laws enforced and our govt. to be doing what they're supposed to be doing and not doing what they're not supposed to be doing.
Ha, the liberals that I've talked to in this condo assoc. from up North are not going to vote for President Pantload again!
And "Rob Reiner?" He was *never* a liberal! He's a Marxist. He'd vote for Obama because Obama would let him lick his hairy testicles and asshole.

Not really,....myself and the liberals I know think of our democracy as the world`s last best hope.

I think Lincoln said that.Perfectly put,IMHO.And proven true in many ways,compared to what the world has produced.

It`s only the extreme part of the GOP that wants to impose democracy at gun-point or think their way is the only way.

I think Maher (based on his comments) often underestimates the intelligence of American people.
The fear towards Ron Paul's foreign policy ideas goes much deeper than just "brainwashing". People are (often subconsciously) afraid of the prospect dealing with rotten reality that will be left over after the shining armor is removed. Ron Paul has answer to this as well. It is called the capitalism and liberty. The last is horrifying for most as well: liberty and capitalism comes with high high responsibility and hard work.
