The last image is the earliest known pair of cloth socks. Dating from 300-500AD, excavated in Egypt. The split toes were for sandals.

Status: offline 		Yep, yep, I love spa socks. That second pic isn't of socks though is it? Aren't those built into the shoe/boot. I used to have a pair that looked sort of like that, but the shoes were just black, and the stocking part were built in....and a pain in the ass to lace up.

Status: offline 		THose I think are stockings with the lacing pattern printed on, they do have a bow attached, but the close up its a very flimsy flat thin lace and there is no puckering to suggest lacing anywhere... Im now looking for the site I have seen them on:)
But I think I know the ones you mean.
The shoes just look like a regular strappy pair.
I have a liking for rubber socks/sex/sux:)
