I love music, but the dancer in my head wants to *move* in time to it, so music = choreography. Sometimes I will play with whatever is playing at the club, but I try to tune music out. I did have a fun scene to the Car Guys show. Because I wanted to listen to the Car Guys show.

I have seen brilliant scenes set to music, but I just can't deal unless it's a demo or performance piece.

I'm VERY surprised that noone has come up with the idea of an hour or so of Gregorian Chants to enhance a bondage/interrogation/torture scene.

It would give SUCH a nice cozy Inquisition feeling.

You listening there RS?

Do you use music when you play. What do you like?

Not Going Away by Ozzy Osbourne. (not a good version as they removed the good one but you'll get the idea) Great flogging song- but the album version.

Also love Turbo Lover by Judas Priest Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor, I don't wanna stop by Ozzy, Iron Man, N.I.B., You've Got Another Thing Coming by Judas Priest. Inna gada da vida LONG version which is a little on the corny side, but great for stirring up the flogging. String them together and mmmmmmm a good hour flog-a-thon.

Great picks especially Inna gada da vida, which I use in my long yoga practice. I used to use Judas Priest during Sun Salutations.

Nice!

Once, we were so into it that it was an hour before I said, "Is that song on a loop?" Yup - one Nickleback song, for a solid hour, and we didn't mind!

Anything by The Cruxshadows but especially either Sophia or Winterborn.
and any play playlist always includes Diva Destruction - Safe with me.

By the time they've played through I'm usually way past even noticing that there is music playing.

I enjoy mellow music that has a pace and isn't too distracting. Vast, Massive Attack, Radiohead and other things of this nature. Billie Holiday and Etta James also set the mood. For corporal scenes, I listen to Tool.

i DO like the lyrics!

slaverachel2Him -> RE: Favorite Scene Music ? (1/18/2012 10:59:49 PM)

We use no music or classical for actual sex- we stay self paced not needing the driving beat for energy and also to drown out whipping and flogging noises, me moaning, heavy breathing or making other noises associated with pain and or delight. (usually "and") and the joking etc. Sex is a little quieter and best for us with no lyrics to distract attentions or rhythms that speed up or slow down, and overwhelm the mind.

The driving stuff though as i mentioned above are great for all the rest!

Trivia time. The actual tittle of the song was "In The Garden of Eden" The singer of Iron Butterfly who's name escapes me was too stoned to pronounce it.. ala In A Gadda Da Vida.

I vaguely stumbling around the Sex, Drugs and RnR of the 70's... You know what they say if you can remember the 70's you weren't there.

Google Ursula Frequency for some very tasty Techno/industrial mixes with a nice harsh edge. Free downloads from 25-95 mins. Excellent :)

Favorite after scene music for the come down: Mad World by Michael Andrews and Gary Jules from the Donnie Darko Soundtrack

GFiarra -> RE: Favorite Scene Music ? (1/26/2012 9:16:34 PM)

I like the Power Animals song on the cd "Sacred Earth Drums" by David & Steve Gordon. Good rhythm, no words perfect for flogging. Much of the cd works for me.

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Favorite Scene Music ? (1/26/2012 9:26:19 PM)

Industrial stuff, metal stuff, sometimes house stuff... girls with dark, moany, breathy voices...

Gary jules "Mad World" - have ever used that as a backdrop, but I adore that rendition.

NocturnalStalker -> RE: Favorite Scene Music ? (1/26/2012 9:39:03 PM)

Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor.

I keep it classy.
