Huntsman is far too sane for what the Republican party has become.  He should switch parties now and run as a Dem in 2016.

Damn.  He was my favorite of the GOP field (like being the shortest giant). But he had too much in common with Romney to come out from his shadow.  Ironically, he was the only candidate whose dropping out helps Mitt.

Tis a bummer. I was starting to like him. Why can't the crazies leave and the sane ones stay?

There goes the only sane guy they had behind a podium at these recent debates....of course he never got to say much, considering he had no support, that is sort of understandable.
Way too moderate to be a Republican

If Romney gets the nod, Huntsman as VP makes no sense - he will not pull outside Romney's strength.  I don't see any other GOP candidates being viable choices.  Maybe Chris Christie, Rubio, etc.

I think there`s going to be bigger "oh shits" before this train wreck is over.

This really isn`t such a big deal, considering he wasn`t taking in enough money to do more then travel. He had no where near the advert power top cats have/had and wasn`t getting any "mo",especially in SC.

He`s a class act and will be missed.

Isnt Gingrich's ads being paid for, mostly, by PACs?

Actually, most have them. They call them "Super PACs".

Romney`s is loaded, newt`s has some,Paul`s is loaded and Rick`s has a few bucks.

I think Huntsman`s wealthy dad contributed the most to Huntsman`s Super PAC,a million bucks.

Stephen Colbert and former FEC commissioner Trevor Potter gave one of the best explanations of how Super PACs work, when he gave his own Super PAC to Jon Stewart to run.

Enjoy.

1st segment.

Hopefully he'll take Newt with him!
He's got nasty ads about the other candidates running on t.v. here in Myrtle Beach.
He's probably still holding his ass after Mitt and Ron spanked him in N.H.

Not surprised. I never cared for the guy... not because, as the article states, for his working with O'Failure, but because he's too much of a "politician" -- i.e., talking a lot, but saying nothing.  I just finished watching the Huckabee Forum in South Carolina, and he did it yet again... when asked direct questions, he kept dancing around them with platitudes.

Example, first question asked of him... "In the first 30 days, as President of the United States, what could you do to have any positive impact on America".

His response?  "The answer is very simple... and that is, i would lead.  Today we have no leadership, we have no one that is doing what needs to be done on Captol Hill and driving forward the work of the people.

He then blathered on a bit and FINALLY got to 3 things he'd focus on:  (i) Tax Reform, (ii) Addressing Regulations, and (iii) Steps to Energy Independence, but by then I was already rolling my eyes.  His entire opening response said NOTHING, and the end of his response is HARDLY anything that could be addressed in "30 days".

In short, just too much of the typical politician, and the reason why I never trusted the guy.

Given the crappy state of things, I think most Americans are looking for more swift and specific actions that will hopefully have both a major and more immediate impact on the economy.

Lol LA, politicians are politicians, not leaders.

And the promise of "swift and specific actions" plays right into the Obama re-election strategy of painting any challenger as too extreme.

Keep in mind that he may be saner than most of them, but he's still a Radical. What little sense of responsibility he may have would be smothered by all the freaks he would be beholdin' to. Good riddance.

Not when said "swift and specific" actions COUNTER O'Failure's "extreme" policies of ObamaCare, Dodd/Frank, TRILLIONS in failed stimulus, and BILLIONS in failed Solyndra-esque losses
