Asherscorp1 -> Sleeping arrangements (how to not get kicked in the face) (1/16/2012 10:46:26 AM)

Sorry if this question has been asked 82 times already but I didn't see any threads on it when I searched so ...
Do any of you have experience with sleeping at the foot of your Master's bed? Have you found a technique that works well to give him foot-room and keep you from being kicked in the head and comfortable enough to get decent rest? Thank you for any suggestions.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Sleeping arrangements (how to not get kicked in the face) (1/16/2012 10:56:08 AM)

I always interpreted that to mean on the FLOOR at the foot of the bed, like where a dog would be, not ON the bed itself.

Winterapple -> RE: Sleeping arrangements (how to not get kicked in the face) (1/16/2012 11:30:39 AM)

That's how I've always interpreted it to.
One person sleeping vertically in the bed
and another sleeping horizonally seems
very challenging if not near impossible.
And being head to foot with another would
seem to defeat the purpose. Floor looks
better by default.

You'd need a California King and a short master for this to work.

I've found that the thing that solves this problem the best is to sleep right up next to him side by side so that he can wrap himself all around me like a pretzel. He's got plenty of footroom and I don't get kicked in the head.

In my house they get a better night's sleep in their own bed, in their own room. With the door shut.

I like it very cold in my bedroom. I don't like bodies next to me......except for one little 12# red head. That little 12# red head is a bitch to anyone else that tries sleeping in the bed. An 85# GSD will likely jump on anyone left in the bed after 6am. Which then inspires the 40# ditzy one to join into the free for all puppy lovathon/wrestling match. It's the reverse of the free for all that happens when I go to bed. No one could sleep through it and the 12# diva has a way of finding the most sensitive bit of bare skin with her most raggedy sharp toe nail. I swear she's nearly pierced my left nipple several times.

Yes, any slave in my house really should have their own safe place.

Lockit -> RE: Sleeping arrangements (how to not get kicked in the face) (1/16/2012 1:39:02 PM)

Real doms sleep on a bed of nails and their submissives don't sleep, but walk on glass or fire to prove they deserve a rest period, bound and lashed upon a bed of nails we doms can take and expect them to as well.

What? [8|]

[:D] Mine sleeps with me, not at my ticklish feet, but right up beside me where I can grab at him and do odd little things to him that he can think about throughout the day... knowing he is loved and yet... well... that's another story for another day.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Sleeping arrangements (how to not get kicked in the face) (1/16/2012 1:53:13 PM)

I prefer sleeping alone, but yeah, I want to be able to reach out, should I feel the need.

But cute, if I had a girl? A trundle bed, one of those where the side bed is lower? That would be great.

littlewonder -> RE: Sleeping arrangements (how to not get kicked in the face) (1/16/2012 2:42:38 PM)

sleep on the floor?

Thankfully Master usually likes me sleeping next to him although there is the occasional floor sleeping when he wants but he's never been able to make it through the night with me there. [:D]

OsideGirl -> RE: Sleeping arrangements (how to not get kicked in the face) (1/16/2012 2:56:36 PM)

I've always understood "foot of the bed" to be the floor.

Master likes sleeping with me far too much to do that. In fact, he has a rule that if he's in bed, I have to be in bed too.

Fornica -> RE: Sleeping arrangements (how to not get kicked in the face) (1/16/2012 4:03:48 PM)

I like that rule :)

I had to sleep like this with my former owner.  At the foot of the bed, meaning ON the bed, on top of the covers, at his feet.  Unfortunately, I never found a way around getting kicked (even in a King sized bed and he was not tall), so I'd end up just sliding down onto the floor when he fell asleep.

I wish I had some answers for you.  How well do you sleep in a helmet?  [8D] Seriously, it used to get very frustrating to be awakened with a foot in the head.  He was ok with me moving to the floor as a result.  I'd try scooting off into a very small corner of the bed, but eventually his feet would find me.  I swear the man must have been aiming, just for fun.

LPslittleclip -> RE: Sleeping arrangements (how to not get kicked in the face) (1/16/2012 6:54:17 PM)

on the floor or cuddled next to my Mistress. i sleep wrapped around those with me in bed arms and legs. my wife says its like sleeping with a octopus but my Mistress enjoys it.

DesFIP -> RE: Sleeping arrangements (how to not get kicked in the face) (1/16/2012 8:16:51 PM)

Sleeping with The Man, let's just say that no matter how far toward the edge I move to give him more room, it's never enough. He pushes me out of bed. I tried getting in on his side once since he was on mine but then he rolled back over and shoved me to the floor.

RaspberryLemon -> RE: Sleeping arrangements (how to not get kicked in the face) (1/17/2012 3:32:27 AM)

My Master always has me sleep right up next to him, tangled up with him or securely snug in his arms. We both like the warmth, closeness and intimacy of it and never have any problems with one of us bothering the other for any reason. We both get better sleep when it's with each other.

However, if he were to have me sleep at the foot of the bed (and I've always understood that to mean on the bed, hmm) I imagine I'd be a little cold but not too difficult. We have a queen sized bed and he's 6'3", but he sleeps pretty crumpled up as opposed to stretched out, and he doesn't move around a lot or flail in his sleep (he does do little twitches though--it's cute!) so I think I could just curl up around his feet/legs and get good sleep like that. I've curled like that when we weren't sleeping and it was relatively comfortable so I think it'd be doable for us. Irrelevant for us most likely though, considering he likes having me snuggled with him and has never entertained the notion of having me sleep elsewhere or elsewise.

I'd imagine the success/method of sleeping at the foot of the bed, though, is entirely dependent on the two of you and individual factors like how much he flails or kicks, how much room you'd have relative to the size of the bed/his height and sleeping position, etc. Perhaps it isn't possible to find a way to make it work for some, but I would say experiment a couple things before calling it impossible if it's something you and him are very interested in.

Thanks for all the responses. Sleeping on the floor would not work in our bedroom right now, and also I'm kinda afraid of monsters under the bed eating me. [;)] We decided on this arrangement because lying at Master's feet puts me in a good head-space as the last thing I think of while I'm falling asleep and the first thing I realize when I wake up in the morning. If his feet are against my stomach and I curl around them it works pretty well. I had hoped for insight on other positions since it gets difficult not to move all night but I think I just stick with what I've got since it seems to work.

I don't know try moving you head to the other side and put your feet near his feet?  Just a thought.
