@ Shib I don't get how anyone could mistake your name for anything else. I mean to me it was quite obvious that it means Shib's Stories..(I may have gotten that apostrophe wrong, according to my proofreader punctuation and I only have a passing acquaintance)

@ Seababy Thank you for the welcome. I love your avatar.  Oh and I'd be happy to type in my accent, just one question, how the hell do you type in an accent?

@ SubvsSlave Like most people I write a blog that covers everything from my perspective on BDSM, to reviews of ancient video games, to Irish politics, to randomness that takes my interest. I've also written my first novel, a trisexual polyamorous love story. A couple dozen short stories I'm trying to arrange into collections with little success so far, I probably need a few bridging stories to joint he dots. And I'm currently on chapter 12 of my second novel, a sci-fi/fantasy action romance. I used to write for an Irish magazine for lesbian, bi and transsexual women, but got sick of the politics involved. If I wanna say that I think Pride Ireland are a shower of muppets...well I'm gonna say it.

@ Dreamofthemoon and Burntkitty Thanks for the welcomes. *takes a bow*

@ DarkSteven That's more or less what my Mistress said.

Thats very obliging of you! Umm..type tay instead of tea, dhrink in stead of drink, gerls instead of girls, feck instead of..well you know  :)

I love accents. [:D]

PolyIrishMiss -> RE: Domina in the Dublin area, *waves* Hi all! (1/19/2012 3:09:21 AM)

Well you'd probably find my real accent a disappointment. I have a complete neutral non-accent, so neutral that anywhere I go most people think I'm a local. I was in London a couple of years ago and was asked all the time for directions, because "Ah sorry from your voice I thought you were a local." So  no accent for me, except for when I'm angry, excited or horny. Then, much to the amusement of my Dubliner Mistress I have a pure Chorck accent gerrl you could etch glass with

****GreedyTop Thanks. I was minding some of my lil sisters possessions while she was away in Spain for a few weeks. One of those happened to be a ukulele. I have monster insomnia a lot of the time so I often get bored and lonely at night. One night I decided to mess around with her uke, and discovered that 1: you don't have to strum it, they can actually be played beautifully if plucked. and 2: that I really found it relaxing. So a few weeks later she bought me my first uke. It's also led me to doing a huge amount of ground work on learning how to make my own ukes, and I'm planning on launching a small one woman business making unusual one off, and very limited run ukes, mandoleles and in time mandolins. It's amazing how one thing leads to another sometimes.

oh how very cool!! well, not the insomnia part... LOL

OohAahMrs -> RE: Domina in the Dublin area, *waves* Hi all! (1/19/2012 6:43:45 AM)

Welcome Poly, we are almost neighbours. What are you writing? Does the dog take up a lot of your time?

PolyIrishMiss -> RE: Domina in the Dublin area, *waves* Hi all! (1/19/2012 11:44:43 AM)

@ OohAahMrsYeah we are almost neighbours, well one short plane flight and some semi-usable public transport at least.

My first novel was a polyamorous love story about a transwoman and her two lady loves, their boyfriends, the family they create around themselves. It's kind of complicated, but it's really about the inherent strengths and weaknesses of polyness, the complexities of being transsexual, and what family can really mean.

My second novel is a romantic action. But because it's still a work in progress I'm not ready to discuss it very much. I tend to just let projects work themselves out and then discuss them when they're done.

Yeah my puppy is a big part of my life. She's an 18 month old full-sized mostly white Beagle named Winter, after my favourite fictional villainess. We play and walk for about 4 hours most days. And when we're not playing she's sitting on the back of the couch watching me write, or moaning when I hit bum notes when I practice my music. I'd be lost without my pup.
