Before the pissant liberal Bliar government banned handguns I used to forget it was holstered & go walking round the town. No one ever said anything including the police.

It is my opinion that everybody on a plane should be armed with guns and assault rifles. What is someone who is unarmed to do if there is someone aboard with a plastic knife or a box cutter? People ought to have the right and means to defend themselves from such dangerous individuals! In fact: guns and assault rifles ought to be handed out on loan to anyone who forgot to bring his own.

What do you think the consequences would be of discharging a firearm in the pressurized passenger compartment of an airplane?

Which begs the question of why air marshals are armed...

She had it in her purse.

they use special loads and the myth of sudden depressurization from a bullet hole is just that, a myth... air would whistle out a 1/2" hole and the pilot would have plenty of time to get to a lower altitude.

Ward will be taken to OMH for possible injuries that may have occurred to Ward's rectum where it is believed Ward may have concealed the .38 caliber, six inch barrel revolver.

Ward is wanted in Georgia for prior charges including murder, armed robbery, driving without a license, impaired diving, obstructing a police officer, and offering a false report to a police officer.

tazzygirl -> RE: Thank goodness it wasn't a cupcake. (1/19/2012 2:34:12 PM)

He is also wanted in North Carolina. He has been a busy boy.

How scary is that she needed secondary screening and they let her get so far away that she boarded the plane?!?

The release said airport police got a call from the Transportation Security Administration at about 6 a.m., asking for help locating a person who had gotten through the checkpoint but needed secondary screening.

tazzygirl -> RE: Thank goodness it wasn't a cupcake. (1/19/2012 2:36:17 PM)

Wasnt it like 20 flights that got held up while they looked for her?

Im sorry, this is so freakin funny.

Rule's original premis was that everyone on the aircraft be armed... so the chances of only one or two half inch holes is rendered moot by the simple fact that a mob has no fire discipline. My guess is that in addition to explosive decompression there would also be catastrophic failure of all hydraulic flight control systems and more than few deaths by friendly fire before the eventual smokin' hole.

You are assuming that someone would be stupid enough to pull a gun out knowing that everyone else on the plane was armed. I wouldn't be that stupid, would you?

Then reply to rule and not the person saying "Which begs the question of why air marshals are armed..."

We aren't mind readers.
