this is because there are a crapload of ways endorphins are released into the body, ways they effect the brain, ways the brain interprets the sensations, etc. No two people probably experience the effects the same, simply because the brain is unique. But we can generalize some things, the "high" you get from physical activity, running, exercise, etc, can be put into a "tunnel effect" category. You get more focused on what you are doing, increased stamina, increased pain tolerance, etc. This is generally because the activity demands you need this perception to survive the activity. The high you get from pain, stress, trauma, is more akin to "time dilation", where things tend to slow down, get that drugged feeling, etc. This is also because the circumstances demand this perception. But as I said, each has their own experiences, and each enters these states differently, so generalizations are a bit hard
