Rule -> What happened to them airplane bomb guys? (1/19/2012 11:38:54 AM)

What is going on, I wonder? It used to be that all kinds of inept people with bombs in their underwear or shoes were forced to the floor by heroic airplane passengers, but during the past year it has been quiet on that front. Are the conniving secret services of Western powers too busy with the Arabic springs to amuse themselves with putting them "too clumsy to tie their shoelaces or button their shirt" fake bombers on a plane? Or is it the credit crisis? Do they have to be miserly with their budgets?

It's the law of diminishing returns. It's the problem with not so smart bombs. The cleverest go 1st what you are left with are slobbering morons who can't button a shirt over a c4 vest.

You've got to admit that them guys that planned 911 were admirably extremely financially proficient: they put hijackers on two planes that did not exist. How is that for saving money!

That makes me wonder: did anyone every check the money paid to the airline companies by the passengers on those two non-existing planes? How many of them paid in cash and how many made a bank transfer to pay for their ticket? A curious mind wants to know.

Indeed, I wrote 'every' instead of 'ever'. I suspect that the typo escaped my notice because I was tired.

And I admit that the three ly-words in 'admirably extremely financially proficient' was overdoing it quite a bit.

I think the stories have just become less newsworthy. I live in a border city with the biggest arab-speaking population outside the Middle East, shady business is a tad ordinary these days. AND not perpetrated by those of arab interest.
