Congratulation on the big 20k.
I'll fess up to a little something here, in honor of the big celebration. You are often, to many people, I'm sure, someone whose opinion on a matter weighs greatly. You usually are factual and level headed enough to be considered knowledgeable and a source of great advice, but with enough emotion to keep from being flat on the screen.
While I joke now and then about being intimidated by you, that's not quite correct. I have often looked at you as the source here for "THE" answer on a topic. "Formidable," let's call your presence here.
A little turning point for me? A tiny little victory over my own concern for what I thought to be my lack of experience/understanding of all this that we do? It was one day when I read something you wrote (I don't recall what it was) and I completely disagreed with you. From there on in, I was like, oh, jeez - if LadyPact can't see it this way, then nobody on here knows anything more or better than I do. We're all the same.
So, I suppose you are the bar that I measured myself against, and when I felt comfortable enough with myself in this world to disagree with you without reservation, it felt oddly good. Not that I actually posted about it, or anything. I'm certainly not going to start a fight with you in public. Duh. :)
Anyway, I hope that made sense in a good way.
