Most of my dreams are kinda hard to remember, and mostly what I DO remember from them is the general idea of it and a few fleeting details--the most difficult part to remember is the chronology of them, and often times that is because it is very confusing how I got from point A from point B in a dream...they just lack consistency/chronological sense.
That being said, I have two types of dreams: 1) Dreams where I am me, always the same person I am in waking life and 2) Dreams in which I am an onlooker sort of "watching a movie"--I see a story unfold watching people/characters I don't know. The second type is generally more difficult to remember, and they don't feel very personal so the memories of them fade very fast.
With the first type, any BDSM-related dreams always play out with my Master. Either they are just sex dreams (these are the most vague and generally when I wake up I don't remember much detail, just the general feel and 'theme' of it) or scenarios in which he is protecting me, defending me, or rescuing me, as lame as that sounds. Like dreams where someone is harassing or hurting me in some way and then I get to watch my Master perform various acts of passion-inspired violence on them for their offense. I enjoy it, watching his raw power and wrath unleashed at someone due to his protective feelings of me. It's nice. So I suppose it's the opposite end of the dragon-slayer-princess-rescuer type of thing that Darkfeather mentioned.
