Here is a little about me, but just a tiny bit.

I am 31 yr old sexually submissive woman.  My ethnic background is Filipino Caucasian, so please do not address me in Spanish because I will not understand. Never been married, no children.  Straight with a curious nature, but averse to any level of pain more intense that a good spanking or a well placed bite.  Visible marks are a no-no, but the secret little aches that provide reminders through out the day of what transpired the evening before and make everyone wonder at the mysterious smile on my lips are so delicious.

I am a professional in a technical field and have often been described as intimidating, forceful, and even a spitfire.  Not easily mistaken for a “doormat”.  In truth, I am a challenge that most men fear to take on, constantly testing your patience.
I admit I can be quite feisty and headstrong, but has that not always been part of the game?  Taming and bending to the stronger will?

I did not realize how much I enjoyed the submissive role until I met my first and only Dom (we will call him R).  Even then, neither of us was knowledgeable enough to put labels to the roles or completely understand the dynamics of our relationship.  Looking back however, it is all so obvious and clear.
We enjoyed a 5 year no strings relationship.  I was separated from him almost 5 years ago when I received my first degree and moved out of state to the Atlanta metro area.  He has since moved on and now that I am settled, so must I.

And a long 5 years it has been.  In that time, I have earned a Masters degree, quit smoking, and focused on putting my home and career in order.  Now that everything is going in the right direction, I have time to spend on companionship and other fun pursuits.

I will have to say that truly, there is something to said for a doormat, so long as said object preforms that role with elegance, style, and flair.  Of course, it's so "not for everybody" that it comes closer to being a myth than a reality.  But a reality none the less.

I am not sure that I believe such a role can be done with "elegance, style, and flair."  I am in no way criticizing where and how others find their pleasure, but...

Simply, it is my belief that everyone has the capability of being sadistic or masochistic to either extreme, dominant as well as submissive, but being wholly and completely one or the other means denial of that balance that keeps us sane.  The harmony of Yin and Yang, if you will.

It is dangerous to repress the balancing parts of ones nature, expressing only one side of who we truly are.  Ineveitably that part of you that is being repressed will find a way to express itself, usually in a destructive manner.  This is evident on a daily basis by the explosive violence of the oppressed/controlled (rioting, serial killing, office massacres) and the self destructive behaviors of the powerful/controlling (drug abuse, recklessness, suicide).

Doormat: (noun) somebody who submits too easily to being treated without due consideration

To me, to be treated like a "doormat" means acceptance beyond your own boundaries and being untrue to yourself.  This type of behavior on any consistent basis is one step down that self destructive path.  There is no elegance in that.

However, this is only one opinion amongst many, I am sure.  Thanks for your input.
