Bad joke warning
A couple recently has the joy of bringing a fine young baby boy in the world. ("Joy" being a world of pain for her and his bewilderment at the obscenities that flew liberally in his direction.) They took their baby in for his first check-up, nervous as a cat in room full of rocking chairs.
The couple quizzed the doctor about every measurement he was taking. Is his weight normal? Is his temperature OK? What about spitting up, does he spit up too much? Does that leg motion mean anything? The doctor patiently answered every question, long being used to the nervous questioning of new parents. After about an hour, they seemed to have exhausted their list of questions and the doctor reasured them that they had a fine baby boy.
When they doctor asked if they had any more questions as a courtesy, the wife jumped in: "Well, we did have one more question doctor. I have black hair and my husband has blnd hair, but our baby is redhead. Why is that?"
The doctor thought about the question for a while and responded, "Well, did either of your parents have red hair?"
"No. Both out parents had our hair colours."
"Hmmm. Grandparents had red hair?"
"No, I mean my grandmother had mousey brown instead of black hair, but no redheads."
"Hmmmm. No aunts or uncles or cousins with red hair?"
"No, not a single member of my family or his, doctor!"
"Hmmmm. How often do you have sex?"
"One or two times."
"Wow, once or twice a day?"
"No no! One or two times a year."
"Oh! Don't worry then! It's just rust."
