While I appreciate the help. That wasn't a story I "heard". I read that in either Time or Newsweek, when it happened and it was Coca Cola. My beloved Pepsi-Co© would never make an error of such giant proportions.

Thanks for the welcome! I tend to avoid P&R sections of message boards. I notice that this is the area that lots of people are least able to discuss with a rational mind. I don't like arguing with stupid, so I avoid it all together.

For the first few years on this board, I stayed in PR, until I finally got burnt out last year. It's nothing more than a bunch of collectivists arguing about each others' character, not the issues. Since everyone's doing it, no one seems to notice that debates are about the poster, not the issue. The argument from intimidation is alive and well in PR.

Now once in a while I'll get curious and look at the topics, and I can see exactly how each thread will go based on who is the OP. I know exactly who will respond, who will support, who will defend...

Lots....

How many are lots?

I know "lots" here in this P&R section who are quite adept at making intelligent discussion/arguments. Yet, your lots and my lots do not agree.

Again, sweeping generalizations leave much open to interpretation. I can say LOTS of women who are experts at shopping are frivolous air heads with more money than brains. Lots indicate a large number. Based upon one look, you felt accurate in making that assessment here.

Now, just to clue you in, some never leave P&R. Some of us post in other sections. Some of us are considered quite intelligent and rather capable at making articulate, well thought out debates. Some are not. Some is not synonymous with lots.. yet abundance is.

I take exception based upon myself and those posters I know to be not "stupid"

Is this a rant? In a way, yes. We get enough bullshit from the older posters without having to deal with the judgmental attitudes of the newer ones.
