Based on the article cited, and other articles I have read, Newt's Sugar Daddy is an extremely wealthy American who prefers Israel to his native country, the United States, and believes that Newt, as President, will support Israel's interests over America's interests.
Also, probably because Newt has proposed total elimination of taxes on capital gains, meaning his Sugar Daddy would never have to pay any taxes, since he lives off of his stock dividends.
