Bush admitted making "mistakes" regarding Iraq, but also said he would not change his policy on the War.

A/anyone remember "peace with honor" from Nixon as we pulled out of Vietnam?

What a couple of f**ktards.

???? Nixon didn't start the war but ended a war that was only going to take more US life without any possibility of a victory without unthinkable genocide. It might not have been peace with honour but he was being realistic.

I can't figure out why he gets criticized on this. What would his critics have done, stayed there and dropped more bombs and killed more innocent people? Withdrawing might have been a minor humiliation in US history but it wasn't wrong.

Vietnam after the trauma and it coming into the international arena and prospering has proved Nixon, right, right, right!

I wish he'd been a little quicker to realize that.  A lot of us remember Nixon's promise that he had a "secret plan" to end the war if we'd just re-elect him.  He got re-elected and his plan?  More of the same.

The parallels between Bush and Nixon are frightening to those of us who lived back then.  The big difference seems to be 911.  Bush got the nation so panicked that they made what Nixon did legal for Bush to do.  Even so, he seems to be overreaching even that broad authority.

My favorite of that era was Rockefeller saying to a reporter "Now let's take the average American working man with in income of $100,000 a year or so."

We're doing it the other way around... we're getting old in Delray Beach.

I agree.  But if you believe he will, then I have a car I'd like to sell you.

Bush can't even or more likely "won't" secure our border with Mexico.
How can we expect him to be successful in anything else?
Time for him to go!

Pinkee, I am sorry.

I get chattery, it did not occur to me. Sorry.

As for Bush- I hope 08 his type is not in the white house. His ideology.

I am pretty sure Bush admitting to a mistake is one of the signs of the apocalypse. Might want to duck for cover. Next we are going to find out he held someone in the White House responsible for something.

Personally I think if Laura Bush tied him up and spanked his ass more he might be a better President. His head is so far stuck up his ass maybe if she spanked it, the blood would flow better and his brain would function.  Just a thought...

Oh and I plan on Just saying NO to Jeb, should he run in '08. Out with the Bush clan we've had enough of the dark ages, lets get someone to move us into a brighter secure future.

My favorite ever admission of his, was recently when he said maybe he shouldn't have come up with that "Bring 'em on!" line. No shit sherlock.
