If a philanderer like Clinton is fit to be president, so is Newt.

I knew someone would get around to whining "Well Clinton did it first" before the topic was an hour old.

Harding did it first.

I'll do my Ronald Reagon impersonation, " here we go again". Oral sex is not sex. Ok If Bill said so it must be true. If your daughter is going down on some guy will you say it's ok because that's not sex ?

I actually thought that Clinton was a decent president until he lied under oath to a federal grand jury. I actually met him here in Milwaukee. As far as straying from the marrige, a whole lot of presidents and vice presidents have done so. I do not think that should disqualfy them if they are doing their job. I do see the hypocracy from the left concerning Newt's troubles interesting though.

Yes or no? Quit beating around the bush.

So we`ve finally settled the Clinton thing...........

Getting back to the thread.....

Shouldn`t the turducken of hypocracy spewing on about the defense of marriage, be called on it?

Newt Gingrich has three marriages and repeated infidelity under his belt, but that doesn't stop him from sounding off about the sanctity of male-female marriage.

What's really troubling to me in all of this is ...
Imagine yourself at an 80s or 90s swing party and the Gingrich's follow you around the social area all night... it's a deeply troubling image to me.

Cut the "you or I" shit.(pay attention there's something here to get) In Owner's case I'd say that the odds of him being brought before a FEDERAL GRAND JURY  to answer as to whether you received blow jobs from a young woman are pretty close to one in in tens of  millions. And the chances of you having the same thing happen are probably on the same order as the possibility of there being life on the hot side of mercury. Given the difference of age between you
NAME ONE OTHER TIME a US President was subjected to such a fucking witch hunt. MANY of them have fucked around and they weren't hauled in to to answer what the definition of is is.

Lighten the hair, lose the elf nose, throw on a beard, and make him a lot more handsome and ya got me... A Stella Star tie-dye would help.
Throw in a chick that looks Tinkerbell with chestnut hair and ya got the US of
the 80s. I stand on my earlier testimony... L and I would have.been disturbed by he and his butt ugly 2nd wife's continued presence.

I have to say I'm impressed by newt's dogged upholding of the Defense of Divorce Act (DoDA)

Two divorces under his belt, and yet another promise of fidelity ..... so he's ideally placed for yet another stirring assertion of a man's right to divorce a woman after marrying her under false pretenses.

Attaboy newt! Go newt go!

“I have been through two divorces,” he told interviewer Jorge Ramos. “I have been deposed both times under oath and both times I have told the truth in the deposition because I know—I am not a lawyer—so I know it is a felony. Bill Clinton, who is a lawyer, a Yale Law School graduate, he knew he was lying under oath, he knew it was perjury.” Pressed further by Ramos, Gingrich got aggravated: “OK, there is some place there where there’s a mental synapse missing. I didn’t do the same thing. I never lied under oath. I never committed perjury.”

This is the line he’s been using since a New York Times interview in 2000. He said the same thing to James Dobson in 2007 when he flirted with a presidential run and again to Chris Wallace on Fox last March. But his own divorce attorney, Randy Evans, who is his personal attorney to this day, acknowledged to The Daily Beast, “There was never a deposition.” Douglas Vassy, the attorney for his first wife, Jackie Battley, who was scheduled in court papers to conduct Newt’s deposition, says, “There was no deposition.” John Mayoue, the lawyer for Gingrich’s second wife, Marianne, told us, “Simply put, he was never deposed.” Court officials interviewed by The Daily Beast in the two different Georgia county courthouses reviewed the files and found no depositions.

Could Keith Ablow (Fox News shrink) be any more of an idiot? http://www.colbertnation.com/full-episodes/thu-january-26-2012-drew-barrymore

Mitt Romney proves that his principles are as unwavering as his hair, and Keith Ablow finds Newt Gingrich irresistible even if the Republican establishment doesn't.

http://www.chicagonow.com/chicago-political-commentary/2012/01/now-ive-heard-it-all-keith-ablow-defends-gingrich-infidelity/

There is something unique about Fox News, most notably, never knowing which one of their self-promoting, book selling, commentators and/or contributors will say something that can only be chalked-up as being totally off the wall and irrational. But as sure as I'm sitting here, that is a common occurrence at Fox News.

One such recent incident involves the controversial psychiatrist and Fox employed, Keith Ablow. To wit - Ablow feels that Newt's infidelity could be of great benefit and even make him a better president. And as stupid as that may sound, Ablow based that conclusion upon Gingrich's way of telling his wives the "incredibly painful truths" that he no longer loved them and was leaving them for other women - which could mean that he would be equally, brutally direct with America about whatever issues he had with the entire country.

Well, I suppose that if you live long enough you are bound to hear damn near everything - but now, I think, I've about heard it all.

I guess my only response to that reasoning would be to ask if Keith Ablow also believes in that typical Southern Conservative Evangelist's stereotype of "sin - repent - and then repeat the process as many times as necessary until the people buy into the hypocrisy" routine too? After all, there must be a reason why so many God-fearing Conservatives stand on their bully pulpits deriding man's sinfulness only to fall victim themselves to the Devil's influence. And then there is the other question of how many times does Ablow believe that a devout Southern Christian can sin and still be considered a "reborn" role model for his holier than thou and righteousness followers?

Clinton got his BJ's in the oval office but his liberal supporters never cared about that.

I've got to say there's a lot I like about Clinton but I've always found the "everybody lies about sex what's the big deal" line by his supporters to be a particularly bad bit of asshattery.

The guy lied under oath to affect the outcome of the sexual harassment suit against him. I've really never understood why all the feminist groups didn't go get pitchforks and torches.

I would think that perjury should be a disqualifier for any job that can't be done from behind bars.

Gingrich must feel that Paganism is some horrid thing.

Gingrich is reaffirming what a good Christian he is.  It's also an implied dig at Romney's Mormon religion, which is definitely not mainstream Christianity.  In SC, being a Christian is huge in the GOP primary.  I don't know how big a factor it is in Florida.
