It's just words. "Dominatrix" has the connotation of professional dominant, though.

My ten foot pole won't let me touch this one, but I can watch.

I'm sure someone will be with you shortly.

I guess I'm curious I kinda thought one inflicks pain and maybe anther would do please ??

Can some also explain what a Masterbatrix does ?

I know it has to do with masterbation, but is there pain inflicked in other forms.

Sorry for all the stupid question but I'm trying to learn some how.

Thanks

"would do please" what?

"-trix" is a latinate suffix meaning "woman who does..." so male pilot = aviator, female pilot = aviatrix. Just add language!

And if someone is calling themselves a certain thing, ask THEM what it means to THEM.

Thanks

I'll do some more research/reading.

I think this forum is a very good learning tool for us whom are uninformed.

JRJF, you are in PA and are just learning English? Where are you from?

I'm not saying I'm buying it yet, but I am willing to be sold on it... just depends.

JRJF -> RE: Mistress VS Dominatrix (2/2/2012 2:54:35 PM)

I'm from PA. I'm just not very good at articulating ideas etc.

Then why did you say you were just learning it? http://www.collarchat.com/fb.asp?m=4021036

Something tells me, you might want to consider articulating really well, really fast... unless you want to hang upside down by your balls.

For a more specific answer than what you received in your other thread:

quote:

A Masturbatrix Controlls your Cock and your Orgasm. A masturbatrix, or cock controller, is a woman who enjoys instructing a man's masturbation.

ask the Masterbatrix is question.

I assume you will be paying her - if you want or do not want pain, tell her that.

JRJF if you want the best of both worlds marry a controlling wife.

LadyAthena99 -> RE: Mistress VS Dominatrix (2/3/2012 5:59:56 PM)

JRJF:

It's just what the domme prefers to be called by her sub. I generally have never liked the term Mistress but have allowed one to use it in the past because in that particular context, it made sense. I have also been called Goddess (did not like) and my Lady (did like) too.

I have also been called Master and generally this is my preference. I don't buy the gender differentiation. Adding -trix is not required with me in particular. It also does not necessarily mean my sub is a slave or servant.

I have been referred to as a domme but never called that in particular. I have been called Domina. Again, another name that suits me, as well.

So, as you can see, it is better to not get hung up on particular names or titles. It is much more appropriate ask your domme what she wishes to be referred to as and what she will call you, as well. She will give you appropriate direction as required.

Dominatrix has an "x" on the end.....Mistress does not.

It's just my opinion, but I don't think there really is a difference, except that Dominatrix is sometimes used to specifically refer to Pros. They're both referring to female Dominants. Otherwise, I think it's just a matter of what the Domme wants to be called. I don't like either personally. I prefer "Ma'am" myself, and one actually called me "Duchess." He liked that.
