Damned, too slow to hit the comments sooner.. I've been trying to help women with breastfeeding for many years, too. But alas, since I won't put on a diaper..

I am curious though, how does goats milk compare to the taste of cows milk? Real milk, that is, not that processed stuff.

Oh, and welcome to the forums, Trueties. Ya ever consider bottling it and selling it at the local farmers market?

Just a minute, where did she get the horns?

Goat's milk has a stronger taste.

I never developed a taste for cow's milk as an adult, after being breast fed for a really long time due to my two years younger sister, then having goat's milk, IIRC, a period of soy milk before joining the military and being stationed in Okinawa where the cow's milk had an additive that made it taste funny.

I'm a tea drinker.

Thanks for the info.. I've had cows milk fresh from the cow and human milk, but I cannot seem to find anyplace to get fresh goats milk to try. (Granted, I have not tried terribly hard to find it yet, either..)

whisper676 -> RE: PA Dairy farmer needed (3/14/2012 3:34:20 PM)

Somewhat off topic, but involves milk... I have a dairy allergy. I was told I can't have cow's or goat's milk, but I can drink camel's or mare's milk.

Anybody got a camel for milkin'? bahahahahah (I quite enjoy my soy and almond milk, thank you)

MrsT301 -> RE: PA Dairy farmer needed (3/14/2012 3:47:48 PM)

To each his own but this is so not my kink. I've nursed three children and if my Husband had asked to partake it would have weirded me out completely. No judgment though if this is what both people are into.

Taste of goat's milk depends on who milks and how soon the milk is cooled.  Gary's sister milks her goats and I would bet no one could tell it from cow's milk.  She takes ice with her and the bottle of milk is put immediately into the ice to start it cooling.  I can't tell the difference and I'm a city girl and didn't taste goat milk until I was 60.  However, when she's away and someone else milks the goats the milk does get a stronger kind of strange taste to it.

Try The amish?

Yea, but take along a camera. I want video of their faces when you try to explain what you want them to do.
