he three-month-old cub is the only survivor from a litter of three that was rejected by their mother at birth.

The cub weighed 700 grams at birth and needed 24-hour care.

“Polar bears are born in an immature state. It is very hard to raise them by hand from such an early stage,” said Dr. Graham Crawshaw, senior veterinarian at the zoo.

“He needed to be fed 11 times a day with a baby bottle and he had a good appetite. It is rare to raise polar bears from such a young age.”

Im ambivalent about zoos, I would much rather the critters be in the natural surroundings free and not hooked up for human pleasure, but I also get a kick of being able to see them and have been a long time member of conservation and endangered species programs . This lil guy was the only one of three that survived. for that Im happy. And thought I would share.

Status: offline 		What the hell do you think you are doing lucy? dusky has a monopoly on cute animal stuff that hardly anone looks at or replies to so be careful, he might get offended and stop posting endless nonsense that can be easily found by typing cute animals on youtube
