Last presidential primary, Obama wasn't allowed on the ballot http://projects.washingtonpost.com/2008-presidential-candidates/primaries/states/mi/d/ so this year, we get to vote twice? http://www.freep.com/article/20120204/NEWS15/120204015/1317/headlines/Michigan-Dems-will-get-2-chances-to-support-Obama I guess I just don't understand politics[8\|]

WTF? The article simply stated that both will be held, but didn't explain which one would be used to give him votes. It sounds like he will win electoral votes on Feb 28, and then the May caucus will do nothing but select who the electors will be.
