I had a session set up for yesterday with a Mistress that would only take payment via greendot moneypak. I have never used one of these before. I ended up having to work overtime and was not going to have enough time to pick one up on the way to the session so i called Her and asked if she would accept cash. She said that She would not. In my experience, i have never come across a Mistress that would not accept cash and cannot really understand why She wouldn't. In the end i had to cancel because i could not get one in time. I went online and read more about Greendot Moneypaks and saw that they are used a lot for scams. I'm pretty sure this was not "on the level" but i want to make sure. As Mistresses, is it common for You not to accept cash? Do You think i am right in thinking i was being scammed? Any responses recieved are much appreciated.

Way back in the day, when dinosaurs roamed the earth and I used to do on line sessions, I accepted greendot. I have for live sessions as well. There could be a couple of reasons. In my case...it was because 1) He was far away, and paypal won't let you pay for adult anything with them and 2) I needed the money loaded on a card, he knew how to do it and I didn't.

They can be used in scams. I have heard of that. And it is always possible. Just as possible that she would have taken the cash, tied you up and made a run for it.

Normally, if it is a live meet, I would not understand how cash could be a problem. Unless it is to protect herself from a solicitation charge. But I am pretty sure that would stick for any kind of payment, not just cash.

Could also be that she is just weird.

Maybe she is stock piling money there.

Just ask her and see what she says.

I am curious as to her response.

For a live session? What else would I take? Who has a money card scanner on them?

He brings the preloaded card to her. It has numbers on the back, she calls and adds them to the card later on.

No scanner needed.

It is perfect for scams. I do agree.

I am thinking I read something about not being able to trace who gets it because they only require you type in information?

I dunno.

I only used them for on line once and real time once..and that was like a zillion years ago.

I have known Dommes to use greendot but typically as a deposit. I have never known a Domme not to take cash for a live session. Sounds rather strange.

She probably wanted to buy something online.  Maybe she doesn't have a regular bank account/credit card.  You can't send moneypaks overseas, so it's nothing along those lines. 

Or maybe it's to make bookkeeping easier, for when she inevitably has to report all this income.

I require deposits, but never accept full payment that way.. balance is always cash..

Odd... but some people have their own way of doing things.

Can we please put the word "pro" or "fin" in front of Domme, or Mistress? Cuz this line bugs the hell out of me, the assumption that Domme/Mistress = pay.

Thanks a lot for everyone's responses and thoughts. Thanks especially for the kind words. I apologize if i offended anyone. In my original post, i should have specified that it was a Pro-Mistress i was going to see. Any offense or annoyance caused by my mistake was not intended. I certainly did not mean to say that Mistress=pay. That was the furthest thought friom my mind when i typed that post. I guess i should be more careful.

In the end i guess everyone does have their own ways of doing things. More than likely it was my ignorance of the whole Moneypak thing that led to my paranoia in it being a scam. I just found the fact that she did not want cash strange. I understand things a little better now thanks to everyone's insight.

Kalikshama, I have been looking for the right Mistress for some time. I have had some good experiences and some bad ones but so far have not found that all important connection needed for a good relationship. When things get lonely i tend to seek out pros to fill the void. I would certainly appreciate any advice i'm given!

I think the fact that he said dom was sufficient. It's kind of the same as saying "blonde lady" or "red-haired lady" instead of lady. No one is going to assume that "lady" is an assumption that all ladies you deal with will be blonde, nor will they assume that "dom" will mean that all doms will mean pay.
I hope that made sense.

when accepting deposits, I require the money pack card. reason being is I have heard too many times about subs backing out and getting their money back , somehow, through pay pal. its kinda like the American express card...they side with the consumer not the merchant. so lets say one goes to a club and spends 5 grand. the next day he can call and say "I didnt spend that", or "my card was stolen". well American express will not require him to pay; and that club is screwed. so for Me, the money pack card is a safe way for Me to have the deposit. and also, the distance issue. its just easier to make that exchange. now when engaging in real time sessions, cash is always accepted.

Smart phones....mine will deposit a check and it also take credit cards! Oddly it has no idea what to do with cash
