About a week ago I logged in to the other side for the first time in several weeks, and had multiple McAfee SiteAdvisor warnings (yellow). In all the years I've been here, I've never had any warnings prior to last week. I haven't had any problems on any other sites lately either. I reported this to Admin, but haven't received a response.

Tonight I logged in to the other side for the first time since last week, and had the same warnings.

Has anyone here had similar warnings from their anti-virus system on the other side? Has CollarMe made any recent changes?

This side is fine, just as it has always been.

Thanks

Never.  I suspect you might have gotten infected with something that is faking McAfee warnings.  Call McAfee and see what they say.

I have gotten them before, but only on the chat room side. Not on the forum side or the profile side. Techboy says it is malware, not actually a virus, and that he uses the site all the time. I don't use the chat rooms so I don't worry about it.

Mcafee is very touchy about malware. On the right day it will tell you to avoid google too(though that is something I actually think people should do)

On the other side, for 10 days or so.

Same with me. I figure they loaded a new definition and it's barking at something on the site.

I use Avast but I have not seen any warnings here. As others have said McAfee can be a bit temperamental about malware and false positives. It's probably one of those low rent ad banners that they sell space to here on CM. I'm not in any way opposed to advertising to support web sites but some of the ones they feature here are really cheezy bordering on sleazy.

Yeah, a banner can try to download a DirectX script, used to be pretty common.

My AVG's has never given me a warning about the other side. As was previously suggested, you might have some malware.

I use Kaspersky and have never had it send up any red flags re: CM.

That is the part of CM where the profile pages are. This side is the forum side.

I use Norton and do not get any warnings on this side or the other side. Now if I click on an advertisement link sometimes I will get the website is not safe warning.

Ye I've been getting that once in awhile from McAfee. I have a couple of virus programs running and I only get it from McAfee. It gives me a warning for collarme. I figured McAfee updated their script and now doesn't like collarme now. I just bypass the warning.

I use MSE - no warnings about any part of CollarMe to report, ever. This is looking like McAfee alone getting jumpy.
