I don't agree with Frum. I'm surprised anyone in the GOP takes Gingrich seriously, and Newt's not making any friends in this primary. I would expect Roger Ailes to use his paid staff of conservative commentators to tell Gingrich to shut up.

But the idea of Newt setting himself up as THE conservative who holds the only key back to the Presidency - it would be amazing if Newt were to force his party to be both more conservative and unelectable a second time.

It's also noteworthy that Frum is acknowledging the serious possibility of a Romney loss in the general even before the primary clears up.

Dude, IT'S ALL FANTASY, if it's Newt, If It's PeePants, If it's Paul, or If it's Santorum.
When the republicans have to load up on the milk of magnesia just to hit the caucus, and the Paul supporters are outside trying to get their feet run over by Gingrich SUVs ... there is something REALLY WRONG with the Elephant.
I see much more of it, i'm calling the SPCA to have the pachyderm put down and the Koch Brothers cited for cruelty to animals!
