People don't generally consider Michaelangelo's David an "explicit" sculpture unless they live in some kind of backwoods Puritanical village.
And apart from that, the site started posting fairly explicit ads for various websites years back, which is probably part of why they eventually stopped being so stringent about the content of photos posted.
As the legal climate in the country changes so do the guidelines. That is the only answer I will contribute to any of the questions on this thread at this time, except:
Since your photo are uploaded automatically now and are not individually reviewed as they were years ago, the system has no idea if it is a picture of a penis, eyeball, baseball bat, or the moon. That is what the report photo button is for. That starts the process because those pictures are manually reviewed. Now remember, we review every one that has been reported. Now I know yall will have a hard time believing this, but not just the penis pictures get reported. There are members that get mad for whatever reason at another, and report all their pictures. I know, we are all grownups and noone would ever do that right? Well, since we dont know we review in the order it was reported. So we have to actually look at those pictures( I am just saying they had to be mad at them, because when I look at those pictures I cannot even imagine a reason someone may have even thought it an unnacceptable picture, so spite is the obvious answer). We get to them as quickly as possible and most of the time are right on top of them. With me being off the site recently, some of the different staff functions are more behind than possibly they would be at other times.(Not because I do all the work, because the staff rocks, but I have not been as easily accessible to answer day to day operational issues etc). We are getting to those as quickly as possible in addition to a few other items.
That's all I am going to say on this subject because it is way too boring to try to even begin to clarify in general any of the guidelines except for this, PENIS PRIMARIES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. Please report those immediately and any others you feel may or not be acceptable. But that is one definite guideline clarified.........no primary penii, k? Also, no photos with children of any kind anywhere in the picture, even in a picture frame on the wall.
