SilverBoat -> RE: Organic farmers fight back against Monsanto (2/12/2012 7:29:37 PM)

I found the original court decisions beyond appalling. Monsanto not only polluted billions of dollars worth of non-participating farmers' crops with unwanted and revenue-costing gene-mod crops, they bought enough lawyers, and bribed and bullied enough political influence to inflict 'intellectual-property' damages on those same farmers. The 'justices' who rendered those verdicts should consider themselves damned lucky that midwestern dryland farmers are the sort of paleoconservatives who take their oaths to rule of law very seriously and sincerely, and there aren't many McVeigh-ish loons among them. But it did aggravate the farmers enough to put aside some other differences and focus on common interests.
