ORIGINAL: Lucylastic I love a good PIM but rarely get the time to fill it out properly so its basically a waste of time and space I need something smart and fast This is why I use The Guide. It's so simple you learn to use every feature in zero time, yet it's still a good enough tool for the job, so it becomes a sort of ideal compromise for "the rest of us" who don't have the time to survey all the tools and then master some swiss army knife piece of software and attendant workflow and routines. It has a standard "intrinsic" layout, with a tree structure on the left hand side, and a freetext area on the right hand side. Everything can be done with the keyboard, and the keys are intuitive. It doesn't have an alarm function, but those only get in the way (if you need alarm features, it's a better idea to pick up a methodology instead, such as the one called "Getting Things Done"). Health, al-Aswad. THanks for the info, I'M gonna look into it, I dont like alarms, i find I watch the clock tooooo much and the sound is irritating:) Especially as I work on my computer maybe 16 hours a day, I find I divide my time according to priority and need, and then other projects.. spend a few hours work, then a break to pick up emails, respond here, social activity, eat, drink, move around then back to another project. It works for me ..until I get caught up in a series of postings or other time holes. I dont have a smart phone, but I would use its notebook if I were to spend time away from my computer or laptop.
