(From the same news article) New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie answers a question in Trenton, N.J., Monday, Jan. 30, 2011, about gay marriage issues being considered by the legislature. Christie says that he is personally opposed to same sex marriage and the issue should be decided by voters, not the legislature. Yeah, I believe Gov. Chris Christie has not been 'updated' on how our form of goverment works from the Despotism he's running. The voter votes in people to represent them. Those people, sometimes called 'representatives', vote on laws that those who put them in office desire to have done. So in essence, if the representatives are voting in favor of gay marriage, I'll take a guess the voters are most likely in favor of it too, since they'll be voting on the representative's run for re-election in the future.
