Well of course they are. They also tried to pass off Mary Magdolin as being a whore. Not to mention rewriting the whole Bible to make women subservient to men. It reminds me a lot of these fucks on this site that try to pass themselves off as Masters and Doms when in fact they are misogynists with floggers in their hands.

Kind of like the GOP =====> a bunch of misogynists in suits and ties.

Honestly, if Saintorum is going to display such open contempt for the legitimate free choices of other people neither nor his supporters can claim he is being hard done by when other people return the compliment. . I'm given to understand that in Frothy Mix's own belief system, the founder advised his followers: Let he who is without sin cast the first stone ... or words to that effect.

If you don't want to be covered in Frothy Mix, don't throw it in the first place

What should disturb ALL of us on here is that many in the GOP not just santorum, ...feel that while there’s freedom OF religion – there should be NO freedom FROM religion which means that while “limited government” extends to business, there should be UNLIMITED Government in promoting & enforcing (his) religion, censorship, and prosecuting the dissention of or from ether.

I've LONG said being a Kinkster of any orientation and voting conservative is oxymoronic stupidity, because given the chance, ur sexuality will be made even more illegal than it might already be… only with the backing of the government to actively hunt u down and arrest u for it , by the very people ur voting for to keep giving the wealthy tax cuts to and raise the middle classes taxes by charging us fees...

a small look at the GOP's pandering to some groups points this out....

http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/bachmann-signs-socially-conservative-pledge-on-homosexuality-marriage/2011/07/08/gIQAxyK43H_story.html

really? if ur sexual, GLBT, kinky, or not AS religious or wealthy as they are,.. puts u in their crosshairs for conversion.....except the wealthy part they need china-wage workers to make THEM money... and tythe 10% of what u make of that to the church....

and yes ur sexuallty IS their business..... and they are going to see to it that it is....

santorum's name being redefined is well deserved....

Yes.

Absolutely. It's so obvious it almost jumps off the screen and bites one on the face. And it's got almost two thousand years of history to back it up.

The views of some churches and some sections of the religious communities are changing and becoming more democratic and equitable. But there's still a long long way to go before itsSIRtou's argument needs revising.

In the meantime, please never forget itsSIRtou's wise words

Unless, like Ron, you're referring to someone in psychiatric terms.

Read tonight that the church is ok with men getting Viagra scripts payed by the church........something seems unfair here.

Why am I not surprised.

Iamsemisweet -> RE: The Vagina Ideologues (2/15/2012 10:29:43 AM)

The viagra issue was one of the arguments made in Planned Parenthood v. Bartell, which was a case where a federal court determined that offering other prescriptions as part of a health insurance plan, but not covering birth control, was sex discrimination.  The fact is, many of these Catholic institutions have been paying for birth control for a long time.  This latest thing is just pandering

kalikshama -> RE: The Vagina Ideologues (2/15/2012 10:34:07 AM)

Stephen Colbert chimed in on the White House-Catholic Church’s spat over birth control Monday evening, declaring the Obama administration of “launching a vengeful crusade” against the church.

“You see to Catholics, sex isn’t two drunk strangers getting their freak on at closing time,” he said. “It is the mystical union of two people inspired to create new physical life while God adds a soul in a divine and ineffably beautiful three way.”

“So when you use contraception, you are not only sining, you are cock blocking the Almighty. I’ve got God’s back on this one.”

If You Take Taxpayer Money, You Have to Follow Taxpayer Rules

I guess I'm tired of religious groups operating secular enterprises (hospitals, schools), hiring people of multiple faiths, serving the general public, taking taxpayer dollars — and then claiming that deeply held religious beliefs should exempt them from public policy. ...it's precisely religious pluralism that makes this impractical. There are simply too many religions with too many religious beliefs to make this a reasonable approach. If we'd been talking about, say, an Islamic hospital insisting that its employees bind themselves to sharia law, I imagine the "religious community" in the United States would be a wee bit more understanding if the Obama administration refused to condone the practice.

... if Catholic hospitals don't want to follow reasonable, 21st century secular rules, they need to make themselves into truly religious enterprises. In particular, they need to stop taking secular taxpayer money. As long as they do, though, they should follow the same rules as anyone else.

Catholic Charities affiliates received a total of nearly $2.9 billion a year from the government in 2010, about 62 percent of its annual revenue of $4.67 billion.

FFS Greedy, they DO use his proper name. Savage REDEFINED it. No one is calling Santorum a name in any way shape or form, other than his own with a twisted definition.

If that is the case, why did people get so upset when they were calling Obama Barry? That really was his name. But go ahead and keep defending "frothy mix" and calling others hypocrites.

And you keep right on trying to impose your morality/ethics on others just like Frothy Mix.

Iamsemisweet -> RE: The Vigina Ideologues (2/16/2012 6:02:22 AM)

Boi, in the P&R section, I bet you will find 50 different insulting names that the con posters use for Obama, consistently. I don't remember ever seeing you protest so vehemently about that. Did I just miss something before? If not, why do you expect different treatment for Santorum?
Look at political cartoons of Abraham Lincoln from that era. Politicians in this country have never been given a great deal of respect by those opposed to them.

kalikshama -> RE: The Vigina Ideologues (2/16/2012 6:04:00 AM)

Although I despise Santorum's beliefs, I will always refer to him as Santorum because I believe to do otherwise is childish.

farglebargle -> RE: The Vigina Ideologues (2/16/2012 6:06:32 AM)

"Playing the Victim" is right out of the RNC Playbook, people. Don't let yourselves get distracted by the attempt to distract from the real issues. Santorum and Romney are crazy religious fanatics who would impose a Theocracy, and Gingrich hasn't ever kept an oath he's sworn to G-d, so no-one actually believes or TRUSTS the guy. Well, you can believe he'll lie to you and trust that he'll fuck you over, but most rational people consider that a disqualifier for office.

Basically, you're seeing the Republicans say "FOUR MORE YEARS!" for Obama... And since they have no actual campaign, or issues, you're going to see all this wriggling on the hook...

Yes, President Clinton, involved in a sex scandel and his wife, involved in possible fraudulent billing practices at her law firm never played the victim. It wasn't Mrs. Clinton who coined the term: "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy". After all, that would smack of paranoia.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

funny I only remember people getting upset about the name "barry" when birthers were insisting his name was Barry Soetoro because he was "adopted" by his "muslim" stepfather.
Im sure you dont remember that part tho huh

I'm sorry, are you suggesting that there isn't a Vast Right Wing Conspiracy? Explain ALEC then?
