Padriag -> Ten to one, puppyboys vs puppygirls (6/2/2006 10:21:06 AM)

Okay... this is just one of those trivial things I sometimes wonder about.  Over the years I've noticed that puppyboys seem to be far more common among male submissives than females submissives interested in puppygirl play.  Always wondered why that was.

Fire away with your thoughts, theories, conspiracies, and what have you... this one's just for fun.

I don't think that animal role-play is gender-specific, nor is it unpopular with female dommes and subs alike.  But it does seem to have it's own following, which may not be as popular here as on other sites.

Lordandmaster -> RE: Ten to one, puppyboys vs puppygirls (6/2/2006 10:27:16 AM)

I see a lot of puppygirls around.

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Ten to one, puppyboys vs puppygirls (6/2/2006 10:34:35 AM)

I haven't noticed much difference really, but maybe there is some as I see more kitty females than males.  Maybe it's just a cultural stereotype that we see dogs as masculine and cats as feminine.

But again, I haven't experienced much difference.

champagnewishes -> RE: Ten to one, puppyboys vs puppygirls (6/2/2006 10:43:20 AM)

Interesting observation.
I personally haven't noticed any significant difference in the number of one over the other....then again, i probably haven't  taken notice of it as i have never had any interest.

zumala -> RE: Ten to one, puppyboys vs puppygirls (6/2/2006 11:08:16 AM)

I prefer kitties to puppies, since I'm more cat-like... but would my face fit into a cat's food dish?  [;)]

I think for the most part, women are more feline in nature than canine; so most subs and slaves who do animal play will gravitate towards what their 'inner animal' is, for most, thats a cat. Personally, I am more felne than anything, from my mannerisms and how I behave in a given situation. Its a natural thing.

dogobedience -> RE: Ten to one, puppyboys vs puppygirls (6/2/2006 12:55:49 PM)

Puppy/kitty..........fantastic, where are you ?

RiotGirl -> RE: Ten to one, puppyboys vs puppygirls (6/2/2006 1:10:58 PM)

the dog is a puppygirl.. and she's verra sweet and cuddly.. like a big baby...

but verra annoying when ya want to be left alone.  Boy dogs.. now them.. hrm.. they're sweet and cuddly too.. but the only one ever had was a little piss ant.  Punk that he was.  Had to get rid of that one cos he tried to bite the baby = (    The only one has ever had she had to fight tooth and nail with.  Literally.  He neva won tho = )

bad boy dogs

good girl dogs = )

yeah that sums it up

mnottertail -> RE: Ten to one, puppyboys vs puppygirls (6/2/2006 1:12:50 PM)

snips and snails and puppydog tails..........

'cause that's what little boys are made of.

My ears are burning.

No, really, they are.  Any advice how to put them out?  It's kinda starting to hurt.

Yours,

benji

Wulfchyld -> RE: Ten to one, puppyboys vs puppygirls (6/2/2006 1:17:24 PM)

darq is a puppy girl and an all day cutie.

TolerableCruelty -> RE: Ten to one, puppyboys vs puppygirls (6/2/2006 2:26:31 PM)

I've never really paid all that much attention, to be honest...
but the first thing that comes to mind regarding the ratio set forth is.. well, maybe there are more puppyboys than girls because its easier to take them out and let them pee on the fire hydrant.

( you did say this was for fun... heh)

Maybe it's a... dare i say it... pussy thing

Dustyn -> RE: Ten to one, puppyboys vs puppygirls (6/2/2006 3:13:37 PM)

Not much into the animal role playing, personally, but I do identify with, and have several mental characteristics, of my animal totems.  Cougar and wolf.

Slipstreme -> RE: Ten to one, puppyboys vs puppygirls (6/2/2006 7:46:41 PM)

I like animal play but I don't really have any experience in it.

However, like Dustyn, I as well display characteristics of my animal spirit which is a species of sabretooth, which displays both feline and canine characteristics. I was surprised to find it wasn't the cougar, which is my spirit guide.

I have noticed there is a wide difference. I would guess perhaps that guys are more into the fetishy aspect of animal play? I don't know. I have noticed however, it seems there are more Maledom/femsub groups with ponyplay than Femdom/malesub. I guess maybe that popular culture has many potential puppygirls gravitating to ponyplay instead?

Personally, I like them all.

However, what I would like to see more of is pony gear or puppy gear designed for the Dominant. (Stallion and Alpha dog.  :P hehe )

Shayna -> RE: Ten to one, puppyboys vs puppygirls (6/2/2006 7:49:01 PM)

*meow*
I'm sooo into kittyplay. Haven't been with anyone that also enjoyed it.

Padriag -> RE: Ten to one, puppyboys vs puppygirls (6/2/2006 8:06:10 PM)

ROFL TR.... never thought of it that way...   BTW folks, the "ten to one" was just a catchy title for the thread, I have no idea what the actual ratio might be.  I've just encountered more male submissives over the years interested in being puppy boy (btw, do a search on puppy or dog on CM and you'll note most are male profiles, just for example) than female submissives interested in being puppygirls.  Its not something that matters of course... I just sometimes wonder about why things are the way the are.  I have noted that more female submissives are interested in being kitty girls or cow slaves (yes its exactly what it sounds like).  Just interests me how people are drawn to different things and why that might be.   Call it my need to know... otherwise known as curiosity.
