to ask this question, and apologize if it is not.

Would someone please explain the "awaiting approval" message that is on some posts. I am fairly new to the boards and have seen this a few times.

It means that they are either moderated or waiting to be approved by the moderators to go through.

A lot of the introduction and positive experiences posts get moderated I assume because you never know what new people are gonna spew or whether someone is actually just going to flame another.

Hi, reticence. When you see a profile that says 'awaiting approval' it's because the owner of the profile has made some sort of change to it. The profile changes will need to be examined by the admin/mods to be sure it's suitable and acceptable before they'll allow it to be visible to others.

Thank you for your answers. I have found this site to be very intuituve and easy to use, for the most part. I was just curious about why some posts need approval and some not.
