Hi--I want to make a swag for over my bed that can disguise some fun bondage options. My bedroom is rather girly, and I'd prefer to hide the kink from everyone but one. I'm thinking a wrought-iron floral design, with fabric running through it and carabiners hidden under. Does anyone have any experience doing something like this?

I helped a friend design something like that for her room. I think we used an old iron gate she'd repainted - the biggest turkey was hanging the darn thing on the wall and getting it straight! You need to make double sure you secure the (make-shift) headboard to wall studs. Anything less and it could become very dangerous and oh-not-so kinky when it falls on you (or your partner). Carabiners, fabric lengths, even coloured ropes looped through like lattice-work could serve a dual purpose. Whether the iron piece is fanciful or plain, I think it could be well dressed with any number of accessories. You could carry the design around the room too - iron-like sconces "tied" to the headboard could add to a nice dungeon without the dunge room.
