Who is your favorite hero/heroine?
Mine are
Captain America
Wolverine
Superman (He's not my most favorite not much depth and he's a boy scout I mean come on how many mistakes and burned bridges does he have to live with?)
Batman
Ghost Rider
Hulk/Bruce Banner
Green Lantern (Started warming up to him after the movie)
Black Widow
The Fantastic Four
Spiderman

What kind of Heroes do you like?

I like heroes that are complex and have some personal depth to them. I don't like characters that are perfect and always doing the right thing.

Your Heroes growing up?
Spiderman, Xmen, Batman, Superman.

I think the boy scout thing is a big part of Superman's appeal to be honest. The highly moral thing and that he's absolutely his father's son (Jonathan, Not Jor El) might look bit dated now, but is pretty much the core of the character, and it still works.

A lot of my favourite comics characters aren't superheroes at all: Judge Dredd might qualify (I've heard opinions both way about him), but John Constantine, Nemesis the Warlock and the cast of Tomb Of Dracula, Sin City or Night Force don't.

As for the long underwear types though, I always used to like Daredevil. Very complex and rich character for somebody who started off as basically a working class knock off of Batman...

Gambit
Jubilee
Dazzler
Longshot (once helped defeat an invasion by seducing an elite Amazon force-yes, one man seduced an entire Company sized force)
Xian (X-men 2099)
Serpintina (ditto)
Fairchild (Gen-13)
Azreal (replaced Batman after Bane snapped his spine)
the Huntress
Catwoman

Looking at it, it is an odd list, wonder what it says about me.

Joker
Superman
Catwoman
Zatanna
Nightcrawler
Oracle
John Constantine

Can't think of any more I like at the moment, but I'm sure there's plenty more...

You nailed a pretty good list. If you like Green Lantern after that movie, start reading the bound volumes of Green Lanten and Green Lantern Corps, beginning with Rebirth. Will really open your eyes.

I have to say I like The Joker but then he's not really a super-hero, more an anti or "supervillian". Quite like Hellboy, and the Watchmen had some interesting characters like Rorschach. When it comes to attractiveness it has to be Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer's version specifically).

You know that the Watchmen were based a bunch of '60s heroes Charlton used to publish and DC had just bought out in the mid '80s?
Apparently the editor of Watchmen had started his career on one of the character's comic in the '60s, and so didn't want Moore messing them all up like that and had him use lookalikes instead.
(For the record: Rorschach is The Question, Nite Owl is Blue Beetle, The Comedian is Peacemaker and Doctor Manhattan is Captain Atom. Not sure about Ozymandias and Silk Spectre...)

As far as fetching superheroines goes, I always really liked Black Canary, and Zatanna has a very fetching costume as well.
