Just wondering about others experience here with flakes. This is the place to talk about it.
Example: people listing something in their profile that they have no intention of following through with
              people wanting bascially to be kept without doing much of anything to contribute to the House
              and so on.......

OsideGirl -> RE: Flakes (2/20/2012 7:21:21 PM)

We get someone at least twice a week whining about fakes, flakes and scams. Your experience is up to you.

Sorry.  Only two ways to do this.

1. Leaving off names, which makes this a pointless whine session.
2. Including names, which violated TOS and will result in the thread being deleted.

Had communication with one the other day. It truly is amazing the perception, philosophy or thinking pattern of some individuals. Makes it sometimes difficult to bite ones tongue in the name of civility and respect. Thankfully i am already with awareness that debating the illogical, simply is not logical! Responded politely to wacky request/expectation/comments, waited a day, then deleted messages to avoid temptation to respond further and more to the point. Doing so perchance would solve nothing, other than a venting and likely do more harm than good. Often times it is best to let sleeping dogs lie!

It's the internet for Pete's sake.  It's also a free site.  When I first got on the internet many many years ago the first thing I was told is that over 90% of those people you meet with online and chat with are not who or what they say they are.  The odds have not changed over the years.  There are just more people online than there used to be.  Learn to deal with the people and the lies and the fantasies of online.

FR....

A short but classic lesson on complaining:

OP, remember that every time you whine on the message boards, that's another way people get to know you. Is this how you want people to get to know you?

poise -> RE: Flakes (2/20/2012 8:44:54 PM)

My experience when reading someone's profile isn't usually to judge whether or
not they are capable of going through with something they have listed there or not.
Same goes for those that want to be locked up for 23.5 hours a day and do nothing else.

Besides, with Fornicas' bodacious bewbage and HillWilliams' giant white cock, who has
time to think of others?

Get yourself a hobby or something.

kalikshama -> RE: Flakes (2/21/2012 4:25:39 AM)

When I was looking, my experience was that people involved in their local BDSM community didn't flake. When's the last time you've been to a munch?

ps - Yes, that's an anecdote, not meant to be statistically significant. My point is to get out and meet people and not to rely on UltimateDomme-like profiles.

pps to Mods - as UD's profile is satire, I'm comfortable using her nick.

MusicalBoredom -> RE: Flakes (2/21/2012 5:10:33 AM)

It's the CM forum blockbuster "Flakes on a Plane." We also regularly show "Flakes on a Plane II" and "Flakes on a Plane III."

MissKittyDeVine -> RE: Flakes (2/21/2012 5:15:39 AM)

Dammit Poise, I´d been staying away from the forums so I could get on with some work, now I´ve got a vision of Fornica´s Hills of Wonder floating before my eyes in widescreen. Does anybody know a cure for Boob Envy? And do I even want to be cured?

Use Head & Shoulders when you wash your hair. That will keep the flakes away.. except for maybe our own FrostedFlake but I hear he gets soggy in milk so, do take care.

It's about compatibility, dude. Hit that one and you're gold so feel free to ignore the rest who don't meet your needs.

1.  The word you seek is velleity.
2.  The words you seek are pillow princess.

You can quote me.

That is all.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Flakes (2/21/2012 2:29:15 PM)

I notice that Ron is not offering to be my Designated Crumb Retriever. I am sad. And vaguely miffed. But only vaguely. Because Ron Knows Cool Words.
