If you're asking for advice (and you must be, posting your troubles on a chat forum), I would say that figuring out what you're looking for is probably step 1. You'll probably keep having trouble finding your ideal match, if you don't know what it looks like. So do some learning and soul searching for a while, to figure that out.
Another bit of advice: it can take years. Sorry, but it really can. I've used CM under various accounts for about 10 years now and I've made 2 or 3 connections that went to meeting in real life. If you're looking for "whatever comes my way", you'll find it right away. But if you're looking for something that suits you and has the potential to last, it can take months or years. Good luck.
