Mitt Romney has founded an entire movement modeled after the everyday life of Middle Americans, just like you and me. Here have a look inside the PeePantsIn2012 Camp and those stalwart 'volunteers' that keep it running.....

Top Fundraiser for Romney Super PAC Gets a 1.9 Million Payday
(just like you got for your working the previous month, right?)

Peter H. Stone
iWatch News / News Report
Published: Friday 24 February 2012

A super PAC supporting Mitt Romney has paid one of the Republican candidate’s veteran fundraisers a fee of $1.9 million for his work during a period when the super PAC raised about $24 million, according to new FEC filings.

The fee went to Podium Capital Group — a company that the super PAC’s treasurer said is Steve Roche’s. Roche is the top fundraiser for the principal outside group — "Restore Our Future" — that’s backing Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign.

Charlie Spies, the treasurer of the super PAC, confirmed in a telephone interview with iWatch News that Podium Capital is “Roche’s company.”

The hefty fees paid to Podium Capital suggest that court rulings in early 2010 that opened the floodgates for corporations, individuals and unions to give unlimited sums to outside groups backing candidates have been a bonanza for presidential contenders and some elite operatives with super PACs.

Roche is a long-time major fundraiser for Romney, going back to Romney’s days as Massachusetts Governor. He worked directly for Romney’s campaign until last summer, and then shifted to the PAC's chief fundraising job. At that time, Restore Our Future had pulled in just over $12 million, the figure it reported to the FEC for the first six months of 2011.

Hey Skipper, if it's not too late, you might want to remove the double pasting of the info.
In other news, who wants to point out to the folks donating to Romney that almost 10% of the donations were paid to a single manager for one month's work?

Sorry Softbonds ... I missed my window... That's what I get for being a single dad and having top quell a "We Want Brownies" riot.
I'll try harder next time.
And thanks for highlighting the central point.
A friend of mine who does the whole soup to nuts political professional gig told me it's his theory along with a few others that this weird  roller coaster they're all on is about something much messier than what the public is being sold (meaning the Anybody but Mitt thing ... and sure that IS a factor). I was told that Romney is leashed by two guys that I hear are more powerful that the Kochs and that there's a back room gas war going on for control of the party, The two names I was given were Paul Singer and John Paulson.
Apparently, they're willing to rip the party a new asshole to gain control of it and the Kochs are refusing to give up ground. The rank and file republican is fodder in a coups they aren't even let in on.

Totally understand "We want brownies," and frankly, you gotta make brownies in times like that, because before you know it they are too old for brownies...

True ... the louder of the two is now 13 and I'll have to put up a hidden cam to see him enjoy a brownie in a year of two.
Not my little D though she's gonna be two things all her life. Daddy's girl and a fan of brownies.

Skip.....

You seem to have some kind of opinion that politics is clean.

(Not quite sure why that might be but....)

Guess who wins (every time) in politics (Presidential or otherwise)?

Those that get down in the mud.

Guess what most people, if asked, would prefer?

That politicians would play clean and not.....get down in the mud.

Guess who wins (every time) in politics (Presidential or otherwise)?

Those that get down in the mud.

Deal with it.

Paul Singer? so if its the hedge fund Paul Singer.. i wonder if his view on gay marriage is part of the party divide..

"Paul Singer founded the Paul E. Singer Family Foundation, which supports many charitable projects including the Harvard Graduate School of Education Singer Prize for Excellence in Secondary Teaching and VH1 Save The Music Foundation, the Food Bank For New York City, National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Action Fund, and the New York City Police Foundation.[7][8][9][10][11] In addition, Singer, whose gay son married his partner in Massachusetts, where gay marriage is legal, has donated $425,000 of his own money and raised another $500,000 to support the drive for legalization of gay marriage in New York"

That's a finger pointer but NOT the real issues.
