First off, Mr Santorum and the others need to have a primer on American History. He says that the federal and state government have no business in educating children, which was one of the fundamental ideas of our founders, free public education. Of course, the right doesn't want a bunch of educated people running around, they would be harder to brainwash.

Wise man. If ya never express an opinion, never take a side, flank any direct questions, nothing can be used against you at a later date.

Yeah? Tell Hilary Clinton that. The right had such issues with her (despite spending her political career refusing point blank to commit herself to anything at all) that they preferred to see an illegal alien from Kenya in the white house...

"Putting aside these tiny factual disagreements, it is good to finally see a politician willing to take on our greatest threat: the Dutch. Dutch propagandists like Rembrandt, Vermeer and Van Gogh have already infiltrated our schools and museums. Our leaders (except Santorum) are deaf to the growing sound of their wooden-shoe stomping, marzipan-eating hordes." -blogger Jonathan Turley

Moonhead -> RE: Santorum lies again (2/26/2012 11:57:28 AM)

Marzipan is Dutch?

Hey, to quote those great Canadian philosophers Rush, "If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice."

How do you know? Did you read his lips?

Did you miss the part where I said the person was a politician? That is how I know they were lying...

Are you yet another person who doesn't "do" links?

Sorry, really slow internet connection, I get timed out all the time on the forums. Watching a Youtube video is almost impossible...

Can any of the Republican candidates tell even one truth for once?

I'm more concerned about what they say when they tell the truth:

Former senator Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) on Sunday defended a statement he made last October in which he said that he “almost threw up” when he read John F. Kennedy’s 1960 Houston address on the role of religion in public life.

On Sunday, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos asked Santorum whether he stood by his statement... Santorum defended his remarks, telling Stephanopoulos that “the first line, first substantive line in the speech, says, ‘I believe in [an] America where the separation of church and state is absolute.’”

“I don’t believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute,” Santorum said.

On the rare occasions when they do tell the truth, it's even scarier. Santorum is rapidly becoming a threat to our religious freedom...sorta like Osama or a bunch of others of his ilk. I cannot believe that wouldn't result in the most lop-sided election in history should he become the GOP candidate. It would make McGovern's loss look like a minor boating accident standing along side the Titanic!

Talk about un-American!! Santorum would bring this country to the brink of religious civil war if he were elected. His policies would fall right in line as being pro-Catholic dogma. Not only would we lose the right of freedom of religion (of from religion-however you want to cut), we'd lose the rest of what is left of all our other rights.

Based on other Santorum has made, I can only assume that he'd have "church-cops" recording how often people are attending and issuing fines to those who don't attend; there'd also be a sort of marriage board, in which single women like myself would be forced to marry whomever the board said I should. And forget my career, or any woman's career, we are for baby making only.

Facts have never gotten in the way of the lies that Republicans and most conservatives spew with such frequincy.

Why would you expect them to be any different from the ones on the left?

Site me something that shows somebody on left stating bold faced lies about another country.

Yes, I see the spelling police are around. I have very poor spelling and even sometimes drop words from sentences as I type them...I noticed I did in a previous post. My bad.
