Fix what? I use it.
The feature that might affect casual browsing the most is pop up blocking. It is customizable.

Often a site will want to open another window to access features. Firefox will block it. I had this problem with my bank site.
There is an easily accesible option to allow that site only, or all sites, to open other windows/links. If dissabled, it can make some sites unusable.
