I never really did "OD" (which is practically impossible on LSD) but I have gotten pretty damned juiced. Had one fuck of a bummer on acid + psilocybin. I used to deal what my avatar says. We did a LOT of it. And I found that once I reached a certain level, that was it. Never could go any furthur. Smoke some weed and it got more intense, but that's different. Back around 1970 was some "purple double-dome" going around, too. Also someone had a stash of White Lightning from SF circa 67 or so that got cut loose around the SUNY campus. My first in May 69 was orange, but it wasn't the Orange Sunshine that the Brotherhood was putting out.
My buddy Andrew got some blotter from a bud of his in D.C. who got it from a pH.D at georgetown who made it. Early blotter - on washed paper towel (get residual chlorine out); 1000 & 2000 mcg. per. Was in Woodstock VA. We split a 2000 mcg. hit. Got a ride up to the top of the "mountain" near his place. Walked down. Meandered, actually, after about an hour. Wham. Went to a friend's place on the river. Had a bong contest. Things got really weird then. Yellow Brick road weird. Got chased up a tree by a barrel on the way back. Really did go in spirals on the Yellow Brick Road. Finally made it to the house. Andrew recalled last year that his mother asked us if we wanted some OJ, and I evidently said, "No, it'll give me an acid stomach." I remember him literally on the floor laughing so hard he could hardly breathe. We finally wound down enough to sleep, after we'd demolished a loaf of herb bread Andrew had baked earlier that day. Felt absolutely fantastic the next morning. That would happen fairly often - waking up and feeling groovy. Like hitting the "reset" button.
There's a thread on here a few pages back (stuff gets buried on this forum very quickly these days) about missing Jerry Garcia. Damnit.
I've done the mirror thing. Can be very interesting, and revealing.
