Strangely enough, your replies always come off as being pompous blather, and DS's succinct sensible offerings always seem to hit things head on. It's not even clear who is writing your postings much of the time.

You generally come in to stir things up or boost your ego- depending on who the author is at the time. Today is no different, although it's not usually quite so blatant.

Perhaps you should take this a postive comment and pay heed to it. It is indeed based in reality and the reality is I do not post very much here because I am busy with my off line engagements with a sub I met here using the experience I related here. I did not do it with a profile I assure you.

If I had an off and on again relationship that was as drama filled as yours has been, I wouldn't have much posting time either. Kind of hard to keep up with all that drama. Because others have posting time doesn't in any manner, mean that they don't have reality based relationships that actually function well. You make a mistake when you assume you know anything about DarkSteven or anyone else for that matter. I happen to know a lot about DarkSteven and you would be totally wrong in your assessment.

Yesterday I saw your journal entry, which along with and according to your post here sounds as if you have time on your hands. It is gone today. Shall we expect that you will have more posting time now or is she back?

Hey, you opened the door. I, whether wise or not, walked through it. Wise or not... I can always ignore you from this point on and not argue with you... but dude, you don't know what you are saying in an attempt to insult and start a war.

I appreciate your concern for me. Just letting you know, I have a sub as well, who I met at a play party, as well as a "daughter" I met here.

That said, I'm 55 and can take care of my own life.

PureVenom -> RE: finding a sub online (3/4/2012 7:12:54 PM)

There are as many issues with online as offline to finding a sub, the only issue is that online you face far greater competition. If you go to a local munch/ part for example and there are 5 guys and one girl, if we assume that for this example the girl will pick one guy its a 1 in 5 chance, online however there are greater numbers, also taking into account when my girl showed me her messages she gets from random men and she listed she is not looking i fear for the girls searching on here, you can put a profile up and 5 minutes later you have 100 + messages

Therefore the best thing you can do is read what they are looking for and see if you actually match their profile. Unfortunately if you go the online route you may go months, years or never find a sub, but all you can do is be honest and take the time to read

I agre though that going to local events definitely helps as you can at least meet people and then build from there by going t other event and network

best way to find a sub online/have you done it before?

Yes.

I use the yellow pages (and considering they have 11,800 U.S. and Canadian outlets....I haven't found any issues as to getting one).

Why? Assuming that your goal is simply to find a sub, why would you want to do it online? Denver has lots of events.

Some people's schedules don't fit with local events. I don't want to speak for the OP, but I know for me, for the past few years, except for this past fall, I've usually either worked or taken classes on the nights that local munches meet.

Well....Grace.....I believe you need to affect your schedule somewhat.

Those that think that can, are generally correct.

Those that think they can't.....well....they're correct as well.

Get in the game Grace.

Quit complaining about why the world should revolve around you because.....I'm here to tell you.....

(It don't).

I used to think it revolved around me but I soon realized that was at best, heresy.

(I did soon realize, however, it revolves quite near me :) )

Oh, I didn't read this as a complaint at all. I think GraceAdieu was just stating that munches aren't always an option for all people.

I live outside of Boston. I could probably have my pick of munches to go to on any given day. And I look often for a gathering. Yet, in all the time I've lived here, I've only managed to go to one. And you should have seen the hoops I had to jump through to make that happen. It was comical. It's not a complaint, it's just a fact. I'm certainly glad I went and I can see the value, but to say that one is complaining and not trying because one can't attend a munch due to their own schedule is not quite accurate or fair.

Looking for a partner of ANY sort is done online these days to a certain extent. I don't think anybody would ever argue that online is preferable to meeting in person (unless that person doesn't actually want to meet anybody). But boy, it really does make some people's lives a bit easier.

Well. The topic is "finding a sub ONLINE". Anyone trust profiles? Right, thought so. As an illustration, I was just contacted by the best looking robot with pictures and several pages of great looking profile text.

So, sitting around tuning your profile gets you nothing or as someone said years in your "search". The working approach is "hunting". You hunt, you find one you like, you attract her with your cmail and then capture her mind and then her heart with your charms in a face to face. Forget that she gets 200 cmails a day. She won't after a short while and besides, your well written cmail will attract her attention no matter what.

I wondered if anyone was watching my journal and profile so closely! Bingo! Tam and I are together and frankly she is driving me crazy with her Wii workouts all day and her habit of wanting to watch biggest loser. Jeeze what a soap opra that happens to be in reality.

My focus is not on DS. It is on anyone missleading people with broken record advice that obviously is wrong in my humble opinion. It is also a fact that anyone who posts ten or more times a day, days on end, is focused on it rather than what they profess to be. That's just it. Period. So, I don't really have to know anything more about someone except their posting rate per day. High posting rate means player. Players hate when their cover is blown and then they ignore reality and get angry and defensive about it, hide their posting rates in on case I know and then band together with the other players and pretend the one who blew their cover is the bad guy somehow.

BTW. Your posting of 10k since joining kinda is telling.

Arturas -> RE: finding a sub online (3/5/2012 2:53:57 AM)

Speaking of finding a sub online. I never even posted here at all while hunting for that sub. I met them all online here on CM using the approach I outlined here, including tammystarm (beautiful woman, see her picture on her profile here on CM). I did spend over a year sitting back waiting for someone to notice my most excellent ( I thought) profile and then I started making contacts. That was hit or miss but enough hits so I met quite a few very wonderful women from here on CM, on the other side. My postings on the forums only started when tammy was posting and was jumped by some of those high posting rate forum players who mostly sit around doing one of two things: giving bad advice or jumping newbees at times, especially new female subs and new male doms. I really only posted when somebody jumped mine here when she posted and every since then I had it out for the players here, and you know them, but it clearly is not something I want to make a major part of my life.

So I won't.

i don't know how yet, but i fully intend on using "you are an ass hat" in my next posting to this thread.

thank you for the attachment!

Well, if I were to sit on your behind, as if getting ready to give you a massage, I'd be an "asshat". No?

I'm just trying to be helpful.

Peace and comfort,

ahh...indeed! but now it won't be at all fun to call someone that.

I saw subs online, then read this and thought it said Bag of Chips.

It must be time to eat.

Talk about irony.
And Wow! It only took 2 previous posts before you finally got around to answering the OP.
Doesn't it wear you down to have to resort to picking apart the posts of people that
are respected on this board in order for you to get the attention you so desperately crave?

no, no.... not chips and whips - popcorn.

i said i need to reach into my bag of popcorn.

we are at the movies right?

Anyone trust profiles? Yes - I met my full time Dominant through CollarMe because I read his profile, thought of how interesting/ well thought out/ detailed it was and that he had many many traits that seemed to match mine.

If he had only had a limited/blank profile I would never have sent that mail, as he lived then 4 hours drive away we would have been unlikely to ever meet at a social event, and quite frankly if he had not bothered making effort, I would have not been likely to have been attracted regardless.

I'm sorry you find multitasking a challenge. I have no problem having a life with many things to do and taking breaks and posting. As for being a player... I won't even debate that with you. Your opinion has proven to be of little worth to me. Let's just say, I fill many roles... real life roles in real life... and can still read and post. Emails... that's where I fall short. [:D]
