The 6th already and nobody's weighed in? OK, I'll start.

The only real news is S dropped out of the band. As long as I've known him he's been quirky about some things but this surprised the hell out of me. Though I play keyboard too, I haven't figured out how to fiddle and play piano at the same time without doing my digital magic. So the other fiddle player and I are reassessing and figuring out which direction we want to go.

There's a women's band forming in my town where the focus is on vocal harmonies and original music is welcome, so this may be my next musical incarnation.

Wayward is well-settled on the E. Coast and thriving there. He'll be moving his boat to Baltimore when the weather improves; I may fly out to spend some time enjoying sailing on the coast where the sun RISES. Contra dancing originated on the E. Coast several hundred years ago. There's a plethora of THAT in his area so between sailing, dancing, and (new to me) site-seeing, it should be a fun trip. We agreed to stay friends though it wasn't practical to maintain the D/s dynamic, so I'm open to meeting local folks again.

Happy spring, everyone! Enjoy the longer days and sunshine!

Hi, MDA. It's March 6th and the weather here in the Carolinas is still confused, and I am really feeling it physically (anyone else having this issue?).
I will be 45 years old in nine days, Goddess bless me. I am thinking about what to do with the rest of my life with direct regard to the career I never really had and the schooling thereto that I never finished. I am trying to decide if the old addage "it's never too late" is true or not, even in this miserably effed-up ecomony.
I have stopped an old habit that was causing me to overeat and was exacerbating my bronchitis. My lungs have cleared up beautifully and I think I'm actually losing weight because of how some of my clothes now fit. Maybe I should ask the digital scale for it's opinion..
I am at the same time fighting off a head cold. But, messed-up weather aside, this is the season for such things.
I am still saving cat lives.
I am still in the world's most solid marriage with my Soulmate.
I am about to start my garden. Don't know if I have the energy to deal with it, but I think I'd by Gods better find some. Growing your own food *WINS*.
Next..

It's March? Really?

I am working, mostly. Tense over money. Really in a good mood most of the time. I love my work.

I have reached the conclusion that I am the Andy Warhol of yarn. I am not ashamed. I am also not doing anything creative at all, other than buying yarn. I miss making ceramics, my tiles are nearly sold out! Of course, there aren't any leaves yet, so if I had studio time I would just be doing the big bowls in the splash series anyway.

Happy birthday, SJ! My family's birthdays are next month. My parents had their fiftieth wedding anniversary a few days ago.

Well, this ol battle axe, player , is very busy as life evolves into new beginnings, new challenges and trying to keep up with the same ol, same ol stuff of every day life. We have a new boy baby around these parts and I'm thinking most likely the last of new grand babies for me.

I'm doing a lot of research thanks to my new Kindle and am exploring some new ventures I just may attempt.

My kitchen remodel isn't done because I've been slacking... more like trying to deal with the newly challenging arthritis and lots more pain. I just can't do what I want to do and keep trying to do things I really shouldn't. Hanging cabinets was a bad move and I am still suffering from that. lol I will never learn. I can't decide whether we are doing all this remodel to enjoy or whether that property I have my eye on is really in our future.

I'm starting to get used to... Madam President... for your own protection you must follow orders, I am here to serve and protect. My son is being a brat to me... we think he is in teen years now and he is ganging up on me, thinking its great to have Knyt here and they are going to take over. Watching these two together... is fun, but when push comes to shove... Knyt let's him know that there are just some places you just don't try to take your mother! It is irritating to Knyt to see how my son is acting, mostly because it upsets me so, but he does have a good effect on him and with his help, we just may survive our second go round with teen-hood. Charlie just doesn't get that there are things he cannot do, though he has learned some boundaries and has come a long way. I'm worried that he isn't going to fit into a home setting with children and will one day end in a facility which breaks my heart and I'm trying to adjust to that.

Anyway... I am about to be invaded by family here, so running. I'll come back and comment on the things I wanted to comment on, but am so slow today, I didn't get as far as I wanted.

I don't know. My brain has been in a fog trying to avoid all of the flu and cold germs around me. Today it's a stuffy head fog.

My switch friend that lives in BC Canada is trying to mess with my foggy head.....seems she again wants to belong to me. Unfortunately the realities of life will most likely prevent that. Along with her fear of her own switchiness twitchiness. Aka, she wants what she is most afraid of. My control. I love her to bits but I would probably fall off of my chair if she actually followed through and came back to Iowa.

Spring is springing in Iowa. My song birds are back to sing to me every morning. I am seeing a flush of red on the peach tree branches and yellow on the willows. Bits of green on the ground. The horses are shedding something fierce and the dogs are just finishing with it. Fucking hair everywhere.

Generic Dude now has two jobs plus his business. He is driving me less crazy with all of the pissing and whining about lack of money.......hint hint. ("no I am not going to pay all of the bills") And, the three jobs mean he isn't moping around the house and I am getting some more alone time. Something that has always been vital to me.

I am getting my creative photo groove back after a couple of months of not even wanting to think about talking to a prospective client. (fortunately it's been a quiet time of year for that...) I've been asked about wedding stuff. Not something I've had any interest in pursuing but I am.......maybe, might, thinking about it on a smallish scale. I only have so much time and tend to push the boundaries as it is.

Back to regular gym schedule after a slack off in January. And more green and less cookies in the daily intake. Always a good thing.

All in all, life is pretty damned sweet!

Madame4a, my congrats on your upcoming nuptials!!

My partner has found a submissive, which is cool. He's been itching to find someone ever since he found out I was no longer a switch. lol I will be meeting a submissive in person next week to see how it goes with us.

We are almost to the point where we can get a public dungeon going around here and I'm really excited about it. We just need to find a building that would be suitable for it and it would be an extension of The Center for Sex Positive Culture in Seattle. When we find that building, I will be very busy indeed helping to get it ready, and I will be loving it. Right now the closest public dungeon space there is is in Seattle about two hours from here.

Hello A/all,

Well the ski season was pretty much a bust. I got one last good day in this past Sunday. The weather here is unsettled. We had snow on top of the tornado dammage. Still the buds are swelling on the trees around here.

I am still looking for a Mistress to serve. I've sent out a few queries but have received no responses yet. I am trying to focus my search on a smaller radius. I haven't given up hope... YET!...

Respectfully,
Mike

Bass pedals? Presumably you could set those up to play pads as well as a bassline.

Lockit - so, tell. What's it like, then, being a bit of a softy, as you are, and adapting to being a full-on HeavyDomme? Are you developing some sinew in your belting arm? Can you do the 'stern jaw and compressed lips' thing properly? I've concluded that I like your lad, I can reveal. However, he has a 'tongue' about him, I'll wager. You can control it, of course? Hmmm?

Hello Folks, People, Individuals, Kin.

"My heart is on fire, with it's death and desire... I ain't got time to die. Climbin' the stars into the the midnight hour... the serpent is eating itself."

~Dax "M-f'n" Riggs

So this is it.

This month on the 16th I turn 25. At this point in my life I have done quite a bit of things with lots more left to go.

There is not much I can say that has already been said before. I am alive and there is so much left to do, so much to explore about myself... yet at this stage I feel that my identity has solidified a little bit more. Two more years until my next prime number.

Mentally/Physically has been kind of harsh. Sick with some kind of head cold that has been everywhere and typically I don't get sick like this.

Mentally... is... eh. Well. At least I can now go see professionals and the like.

In my current state I don't see myself in any sort of scene or relationship any time soon. Though I do like being serenaded and romanticized.

Farewell.

It is 12:14 AM in My time zone.  That means it is officially the tenth and I am free to say what I want.

As a quick recap, last month, I said this:

Better late than never.......

This is rather shoddy for an update, but I'm basically all consumed in something that I have been working on for some time now.  I've only let the cat out of the bag with very few and it still has to be that way for this time.  All I can really say about it is that I won't have a decision for a little while longer.  Everybody out there just wish Me luck.

Tease!

What I was working on so hard was updating My bio, presentation list, back checking dates from past events, writing descriptions, and verifying references.  I did all this to send in My application of interest to be in the running for one of the ten slots to present classes at Northern Exposure this year.  Northern Exposure is in it's third year and is the major, three day leather event in this state.  Ten presenters will give a total of thirty-five classes on various topics related to leather, kink, and alternative lifestyles.

Last weekend, I found out that I was selected to be one of the ten.  I, and nine other folks from all over the country will be doing our best to make Northern Exposure 3 a fantastic educational event.  I can't confirm which classes the programming committee will be asking Me to present, but I can say that I will be doing three out of the seven topics that I submitted for their approval.  (Most of which, you have heard about on these boards from Me at one time or another.

To Me, this is HUGE!  I am terribly excited that I was chosen out of so many presenters that applied for the event.  It is a wonderful opportunity for Me and I can only hope that the organizers will be satisfied with the work that I will do there.

And, on a personal note.......

SQUEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

So, like, no link to registration for us mortals to sit at the feet of the Gods? and Goddesses?

Much congrats!

I shall NOT wish you "Good Luck" 'cause I know (and as you have just explained) luck has little to do with such things.  Hard work will ALWAYS win over luck.

I know you'll do an excellent job with, of course, a re-invite waiting for you before you leave!

Congrats LP. That's really great.

Our news is simply that we have puppies. 9 of them, 6 girls and 3 boys (I think ... I've already forgotten for sure ... lol). they are all really cute, but honestly, much more whiney than I remember most of the Shih Tzu pups being ... Pandi is desperately trying to get into the room they are in, but seriously, the puppies will be as big as she is within a week or so ...

Other than that, I'm just hanging out with family this weekend, while they are here from Iowa. It's been beyond crap-tastic at work, so I'm very glad to spend time with the replicants, since I haven't seen them in about 6 months - the younger one is walking and starting to talk now!
