80's music was good, but the 70's gave us everything.
Disco, Country, RnB, Rock, Punk, Heavy metal,
Easy listening, Big bands.

Here's a Verse from a song of the Seventies.
See If You know the song.
then You come up with one.
{I'm showing my age.}

"I live my life like theirs no tommorow all I got I had to steal."

quote:

"Thanks to Adam I'm in Charge of Her."

He's the only soul in the world that's real,
Well I see a face coming through the haze,
I remember him from those crazy days."

I do watch the history channel from time to time i.e. VHM. I suppose you can say at least they wrote their own songs though even if it was total and utter crap.

Cos I’d like to knoooowww if you got the notion.

Don’t rock the boat, don’t push the boat over.

If only that film Titanic could have been made twenty years earlier it would have had the perfect sound track.

Allman Brothers Band; "Tied to the Whipping Post".

Whipping Post
by the Allman Brothers

I been run down, I been lied to,
I don't know why I let that mean woman make me a fool.
She took all my money, wrecked my new car.
Now she's with one of my goodtime buddies,
They're drinkin' in some crosstown bar.

Sometimes I feel, sometimes I feel,
Like I been tied to the whipping post,
Tied to the whipping post,
Tied to the whipping post,
Good lord, I feel like I'm dyin'.

My friend tell me, that I've been such a fool,
And I have to stand by and take it baby, all for lovin' you.
Drown myself in sorrow, 'cause I look at what you've down.
But nothin' seems to change, the bad times stay the same,
And I can't run.

Sometimes I feel, sometimes I feel,
Like I been tied to the whipping post
Tied to the whipping post,
Tied to the whipping post,
Good lord, I feel like I'm dyin'.

Sometimes I feel, sometimes I feel,
Like I been tied to the whipping post
Tied to the whipping post,
Tied to the whipping post,
Good lord, I feel like I'm dyin'.
