my first reaction was what an irresponsible way to introduce a child to a cat - especially when the tears were falling. But it was nice to see it turned around with her trying to share her toys with the cat.

That was cute. Especially since one of my nieces is just about a year older than that and her grandmother's cat is identical to the one in the video.

That was cute. And the rational reaction of the adults when the little girl got scratched for hurting the cat is a wonderful thing to see! It's probably the best and quickest way for a kid to learn to treat a pet gently.

That cat was obviously incredibly patient with the child, never so much as backing its ears when the girl was trying to share her toys (except right in the beginning when the girl had hold of its ear). Another couple of years, and that cat will probably be that little girl's best friend.
