SexyLilFannie -> A little hope for humanity. (3/11/2012 8:54:54 AM)

This has nothing to do with CM but I just had to tell someone about this. Sweets and I have this vehicle. It is almost as old as I am. It has been giving us serious problems. Every weekend He has been working on it. Putting more and more money into the POS. We have been arguing a lot because of it too. It is horrible and if we could afford it, we would trade the damn thing in. Friday I had to go to work. The POS was giving me a little bit of trouble but it was drivable. No problem. Then I went to leave and go home. I was sitting at a stoplight. All the sudden, bam. No power. No lights. No nothin. A dark vehicle with no lights, a cold scared chick wearing her all black work clothes, int the middle of the road at a stoplight at 930 pm. Was not a good thing. To make matters worse, I could not get ahold of Sweets. Not that he could do anything. I had our car, and I was a half hour away. Lucky my stepdad lives about ten minutes from where I was. It was a horrible night for me. All I could do was cry. I didn't have any four way flashers or anything. So I found a flashlight in the glovebox to kind of warn people that I was there. Most people just flew out around me. If anyone was nice enough to stop it was long enough to wind down their window and yell at me that I need to turn my four ways on. Hmmm. Because I'm that stupid. After standing there in the cold having people honk their horns at me because I'm sitting through a green light for what seemed like hours, a mini van pulled up, stopped in the middle of the street, and the guy in the passenger side jumped out. Just when I thought I couldn't get more scared. Now I know, this is in the possitive experiences section, and I realize so far that it it not a possitive one so far. But just bear with me. Lol The man that jumped out of the car came running over to me and asked me if I would let him coast my car into the parking lot that was behind me. And before I could say anything, he asked if the keys were in it. He got in and did just what he said he would do while I stood there in awe on the side of the road. When he put it in park, he got out with a big smile and said "I just feel better knowing you are off the road. Where are you headed?" he and his wife were going to give me a ride. But my ride was already on his way. As I stood there sobbing and trying to thank him, he smiled and said "no problem", got back in his car, and away they went. I never met these people before in my life. But I was very greatful and won't soon forget the kindness of a couple that did not need to stop and help some twenty something chick on the side of the road. I do have a little bit of hope for humanity. And I hope everyone I know would stop and help someone out if they need it.
