Geez, Canadians are so damn polite and tame you're not even aware they're awake till they say "Eh?". And nasty ol' Cheney is afraid of those maple tree huggers?

but yes... last year the shooter got trapped for seven hours(according to reports) waiting for security to get rid of some "thugs". who were protesting against him as being a war criminal.

They weren't being thuggish towards Dick, they were using enhanced communication techniques.

I'll take the poutine but send the maple syrup to steve (we have our own around here). [:)]

Interesting... my spell check insists that poutine is not a real word (It suggests: routine, pouting, pouter, Poussin and scouting instead. [sm=dunno.gif]

Moonhead -> RE: Canadians too violent for Cheney (3/14/2012 6:30:12 AM)

To be fair, your spellcheck can't spell "colour" properly either.

Over there they only have five sixths our colour, just like they only five sixths of our humour, Moonie. That's why.

That's because colour isn't a real word. [:)]

Nor is flavour, labour, harbour, honour, or rumour. Glamour, however, is (go figure).

By the way, it was another night of fierce fighting last night. The Canadians lobbed Timbits at us with their artillery but we responded with a volley of suicide wings from the Anchor Bar and drove them off.

Lucylastic -> RE: Canadians too violent for Cheney (3/14/2012 5:24:02 PM)

When you use american english and not real english you are bound to make obvious mistakes...tsk tsk tsk...The tim bits were laced with viagra ...to many of you are out at the titty bar lookin for some pole dancing of their own.
The border is undefended, lets send in the Beavers in tutus....
do you have stock in the Anchor bar?

I myself have the proper spelling and superfluous syllables thing down pat, I don't have to rely on memoury because I understand the Oxfourd Dictionary logic in place.

It's a matter of honour.

AMERICAN ENGLISH IS THE REAL ENGLISH!!!!! SPEAK IT OR DIE FOREIGN SCUM!!!!!!

Sorry... slight burst of nationalism there.

I'm afraid the beavers won't help your war effort... they're too friendly to get involved in anything as stupid as war.

Moonhead -> RE: Canadians too violent for Cheney (3/15/2012 6:35:04 AM)

No lexicon that includes the word "spork" can possibly be REAL ENGLISH...
[;)]
As for them beavers, what are you talking about? They're terrifying:

Check your weather charts there lady! The geese are on OUR side of the border right now but soon they'll be heading over you to drop their loads... and we've got our own black squirrel and groundhog units as well as a crack squad of eastern coyotes who will sneak up behind you and goose (no pun intended) you with their wet noses.

Now that I think about it... Why are Canadian Geese called Canadian Geese? They spend roughly the same amount of time in both countries. They could just as easily be called American Geese... although International Geese would probably be more accurate.

Lucylastic -> RE: Canadians too violent for Cheney (3/15/2012 8:02:58 AM)

ROFL, Carol and I wondered that same question now that we live in Canada. Actually, it was Carol who asked, "So now that we live in Canada, do we call them American geese?"

Insofar as the poutine, I haven't yet come up with the courage to try it. Heck, we've been living here for a few years on and off and we haven't even been to a Tim Hortons yet. While I'm at it, the Canadian idea of pizza sauce... well... yeah. I think we can just go with unfortunate and leave it at that. Still though, I think having a health care system which prioritizes health care over the enrichment of investors has to offset the whole pizza sauce thing at least a little bit.

Lucylastic -> RE: Canadians too violent for Cheney (3/15/2012 11:18:44 AM)

Poutine is very good, but I must admit, I like roast potatoes with gravy so fries and gravy is most acceptable. The cheese curds adds an interesting twist, but its HUGELY messsy to eat:) Yummy
Tim Hortons is good, their soup bowls are delish, and their coffee is good...
AND we just started selling mountain Dew with Caffeine in it, YAY.
Have to admit, I really am not a fan of pizza sauce tho:)
