Tell that to the guys who fired the missiles, and dropped the precision guided bombs.

So when ya gonna man up and tell us why speaker j-boner hasn`t done anything about the "alleged" violations?

I have no idea why Boehner hasn't followed through on his threats. I have no idea why no one is holding anyone's feet to the fire any more.

Why on earth would the Repubs want to put something like that on a fast track right now? It would be attacked and dismissed as "purely political" in an election season, and it seems to me that this President's assumption of powers not granted to his office is going to be a damn fine matter for the electorate to consider in November.

Now if the fear and loathing machine is able to pull off a victory, which may well happen, there will be plenty of time for such inquiries to get cranked up.

Coming late to this OP but any nation that has the power to remove its chief executive, and did not remove Geo. W. Bush, should never, ever consider it again.

You can say whatever you want about Obama and Clinton, Bush II (maybe even Bush I for Iran Contra) was a fucking felon in the white house...period.

Do you remember, by chance, what I explained to you about why Scott Brown was able to be elected in Massachusetts, Owner59? That the Democrats were too greedy fow power, too short-sighted and consistently ignorant of unintended consequences?

Oh good grief.

Truth hurts, eh?

Yea, he's doing almost exactly the same as Reagan was in early 84. In fact, Reagan's 1st term was so bad, he was actually considering not running for re-election. Plus, he was handed a much better economy than Obama was.

See what happens to objectivity when people let other people, do their... thinking for them ?

Beg. Convincingly.

And since we are drifting, start a new thread to ask me nicely for a little history lesson the Democrats have erased from their memories, and therefore are incapable of learning from.

The president is commander-in-chief.
The president upholds treaties. (all currently in force). (Senate)
The president can make and uphold international agreements. (all currently in force.) (congress, right?  I may be off on who approves that).

and so on.

And where is the power to declare war exclusively vested, Ron?

And what is war legally defined as? Precisely what military actions are alowed in non wars and what are only allowed in wars.

Since there is no such statute, not that one would even be definitely Constitutional, there is no limit on the President's use of the military unless Congress chooses to not fund those actions.

How`bout we just stick to history and reality.....for starters?

Really? Why then, does Section 7 give Congress the exclusive power to declare war, and limit the President's role as CIC to times when they are called into actual service?
