Ughhh... It's finally happened. Graduation is in May. She leaves for college in June. FUCKING SCOTLAND. She's going to college in Scotland.[:(] sigh My life sucks. [&o]

Uggghh indeed! I feel your pain, IrishMist. My youngest son moved to England last July. Best of luck to her, and to you. edited from baby boy to youngest son as he would hate being referred to as a baby now. [:(] Now, if only I could get the older one to move out!

As an Englishwoman...I think my country is awesome :) Scotland is beautiful, and the Scottish people are friendly and warm. Make sure your daughter takes plenty of warm clothing and waterproof coats lol

Even though my daughter only moved about 35 minutes away from me two years ago, I'm still coming to grips with an empty place and trying not to call her everyday so I can give her space. She gets annoyed when I start being "mom". It's weird when the house is empty but you still expect your kid to start yelling or slamming doors lol.

I live less than an hour's drive from the Scottish border. My niece was married at Gretna Green, in the blacksmith's forge (a very old tradition). And I have peered up many a kilt in my time, and fondled a sporran or two [:D]

I'll probably end up paying what it cost for med school when her sister went through. Anyway, thanks ya'll lol. She is pretty excited. I was surprised she decided to go with Scotland though, I really thought she was going to head back to Japan first chance she got. Shows what I know [8D] I just wish it was not so soon after graduation...that sucks...big time.
