I don't. I was looking forward to it but all the trailors and previews I see of it makes it look like they slapped a new look on Jack Sparrow and made the show a joke. The only thing the movie trailor did was inspire me to buy the dvds of the original show.

As much as I adore Johnny Depp, I don't have a huge desire to see this one. It just seems nothing at all like the originals which I loved while growing up.

I think I'll wait to rent this one.

I have no intention of watching this film. I remember the series when I was a kid, and thought that was pretty awful, but it did have a small amount of charm.

I used to really like Tim Burton's stuff, but recently I've got pretty fed up with the crap he churns out, and that Abraham Lincoln thing pretty much ended any toleration I had left for him, sadly.

it is a Burton film, and I will go see it expecting a Burton film. It has to have some parody aspects to it and I suspect that is what caught his attention in watching the original series. I came home everyday to watch that show but I must admit I was always looking for goofs. Microphones in the scene, lines that were clearly forgotten and promted, and cue cards. That was all part of the charm that series held. I loved that show because it was so serious yet so campy.
No one could ever recapture the magic that was Collinswood. Still, I will go see the movie for what it is, Burton and Depp.

At age ten, Dark Shadows was awesome. But a couple of years ago I came upon some channel reshowing it, and god is it awful.
I think I'll skip it.
